This India Quiz was held in January 2022 and set by Ambika and Rajat as part of our weekly sessions. The set was meticulously compiled and hosted by the QMs.
Quintessence is the Quizzing Society of Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi. The society has been active for 10 years and has been actively holding Intra quiz sessions and quizzes for both school and college students in the circuit.

Hooghly Printing Co. Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary of Andrew Yule &
company Ltd. Which was established in the year 1922.
Famous for their quality printing, it has the fine record of printing
significant copies of an important document along with Dehradun
printing facility. Manufactured by UK’s RW Crabtree & Sons, the machine
shown on the next slide was used for printing the first few editions of
this document.

7. X, an Indian-Tamil language celebrity couples reality show released in 2017 was
inspired from American fear factor. The creators of the show chose the name X for
the show trying to depict the plot/ theme of the show. Therefore, naming it X.
Apparently, 'X' is also the name of one of the most successful and influential
franchises in motion picture history which developed into an enormously lucrative
merchandising industry.
Ironically, the show X never became famous enough as compared to the movie series
it took it's name from.

Olympic gold medals in hockey.However All that changed in the mid-1970s when
the International Hockey Federation (FIH) altered the rules to make a
fundamental technical change in hockey. The 1976 Olympics in Montreal was the
first Games in which this change was introduced.
The earlier format allowed skilled Indian players to use their dribbling skills
but the new format favoured the physicality of European players. The new
technology was expensive to lay to and ultimately led to decline of sports in

The dish originated in Delhi, the capital territory of India, sometime during the
1950s. During this time, three friends from Peshawar opened a restaurant in
the city, called X. X was a success, serving many delightful tandoori dishes.
