X took the Australian domestic scene by storm in the early part of his
career. In 2008, the then 22-year-old gave is best performance by
scoring 165 against Tasmania in a ODI match in Sydney.
Seeing his potential, the national selectors fast tracked X into
Australia’s team for the first T20I against SA in Jan 2009. His debut was
significant as he was the first Australian since 1877 to play international
cricket without any first-class experience.
To make his debut special X almost scored a century (89 of 43) to set a

is followed by them getting visibly upset and looking back to see the

Some of the possible reasons were speculated in the book 'Cricket
Cauldron: The Turbulent Politics of Sport in Pakistan'-
1. X's teammates, particularly Inzamam-ul-Haq, encouraged him to do so
2. X believed that it would secure him the captaincy of the team
3. X wanted to overcome the psychologically weakening stigma of being
the outcast in the team

Born in 1928, British cricketer Arthur occupies a special place in the
whole English sporting history. He was the last player to achieve a
certain feat. (There were 11 more people prior to him to achieve this
feat).
His first class career spanned over 25 years and managed to play 6 test
matches as well. It is very unlikely to have his place taken by someone
else as the selection criteria became tougher and there is a high
availability of players for every sport.

Steve Waugh was a former Australian cricketer considered as the most
successful test captain in history with 41 victories and a winning ratio of
72%. However his initial days were not so good as he started with four
consecutive ducks making him earn a very appropriate nickname.

Westpac Trust Stadium, Wellington in 2002, X recorded the noises made
by the spectators during the match. Little did the audience know that
these sounds would be later used for sound effects of an iconic battle in
the fantasy movie Y.
