1. Posicionar IrsiCaixa com a referent en recerca entorn al VIH/sida i malalties relacionades
2. Conscienciar a la societat, en especial als joves, de la importància de la recerca
biomèdica i de la necessitat de fomentar la prevenció
3. Alinear més la recerca amb les necessitats socials i incrementar la legitimitat de la
recerca
 Avançar cap a un canvi cultural on el rol dels centres de recerca es percep com a entitats
que es troben al servei de la comunitat i on el coneixement es desenvolupa i es comparteix
