2. Selected Problem Statement
• Parkinson's disease (PD) is a long-term degenerative disorder of the central nervous
system that mainly affects the motor system.
The symptoms generally come on slowly over time.
• the most obvious are shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty with walking.
The cause of Parkinson's disease is generally unknown, but believed to
involve both genetic and environmental factors.
• The motor symptoms of the disease result from the death of cells in the substantia nigra, a
region of the midbrain.
• This results in not enough dopamine in these areas. The reason for this cell death is poorly
understood, but involves the build-up of proteins into Lewy bodies in the neurons.

4. Proposed solution
Since Parkinson's disease is caused due to the dead cells in the
substantia nigra, a region of the midbrain. The brain lacks in
dopamine releasement, which results in the lack of co-ordination
of central nervous system and the brain.
So, substances like 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA), 1-methyl-
4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) can be
injected through bloodstream which can trigger the
dopamine, which helps in the co-ordination.
Another solution is building automated gloves to stop
the hand shivering .
5. Methodology used
To build the automated anti-shivering gloves, an 3D-
accelerometer is the basic ideology of the prototype. A stepper
motor is used to stabilize the hand and spoon at definite angles of
magnitude.
Arduino Mega (DUE) is used to provide the Iot support to the
ideology.
So, when the hand starts to shake the accelerometer works as a
gyroscope which send the signal inputs to the stepper motor
which then rotates the hand and the spoon simultaneously and
results in the proper co-ordination of the wrist.
6. Advantages of the proposed work
The patient won’t feel inferior because of their disease
they will be able to do everything the wish.
It is cost efficient than the product available in market.
