Born, brought up and educated in Varanasi, I have been Professor of English since 1993 and teaching Writing Skills to UG and PG students of earth and mineral sciences for about 40 years. I have also been teaching poetry and literary criticism to MPhil (English) students, and supervising PhD and MPhil theses. I have published 39 books, over 170 articles and 175 book reviews in journals in India and abroad, besides evaluating theses from over 20 different universities.
