4. Google Apps for Education provides users the ability to take advantage of a
massive pool for storage of files, sharing and collaboration abilities, and a free,
online office suite of programs.
Google Apps provides us with the following suite of products:
Google Drive
Online (Cloud) storage and free office suite (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.)
Google Sites
Websites that are easily editable and can have items from other Google tools easily embedded
without having to know HTML (Hypertext Markup Language)
Google Calendar
Create and share calendars for both school and personal events
Google Groups
Create mailing lists, discussions groups, and other sharing events
5. Anytime, anywhere access because Google Apps works in any browser on any
computer, which means you can access your calendars and documents from school
or at home.
No flash drives required with documents and files stored in Google Drive.
Students can easily collaborate with students from other classes, buildings, schools,
districts or even different countries on group projects.
Teachers can be involved throughout the whole assignment process providing
comments and feedback directly in the documents.
Students can develop an e-portfolio of work throughout their years at the school.
Through websites, calendars, and email, parents can stay informed about the latest
assignments and activities.

Your login to the computer network here at school should be the same as your login to the
Google Apps site.
Password: cabellgoogle
We will change this immediately upon the class logging in to the site.
7. In the upper right hand corner of your browser window you should see your
username.
8. Click on your name and choose “Account”from the drop down presented.

in each box and
hit “Change
Password”My suggestions is to use the same password
you use to login to the network here at
school to make things easier for you, if that
password meets Google’s security criteria.
