2. BACKGROUND
OTB Africa is an IT solutions and services provider based in Nairobi, Kenya. We provide a wide array of business
solutions through our expertise in the development of enterprise software and mobile solutions.The remaining
sections of this document describe our service offering in detail.
MOBILE TECHNOLOGY
Mobile technology has been penetrating the African market and the world over, presenting abundant opportunities
to corporations that integrate the technology into their daily activities. Mobile technology brings with it additional

OTB Africa has noted that for this technology to reach its full potential in the African market, mobile solutions

MOBILE ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS
The mobile enterprise refers to business applications that are accessible by users on the go. These applications
are accessed via connectivity platforms such as GPRS (General packet radio service). OTB Africa provides
mobile enterprise solutions that basically allow for the business functions and operations of an organization to be
performed on the go. With our mobile enterprise solutions, we are able to offer your company’s staff the ability to
monitor functions of the business concerning them from their mobile phone handsets.

OTB Africa provides marketing solutions for brand advertisers wishing to interact with their audience on a more
personal level; using the mobile phone. Our mobile marketing solutions are 360 solutions that integrate a variety
of mobile platforms, providing mobile advertising campaigns to brands on a wide mobile scale. These platforms
include but are not limited to:
• The Mobile Web (WAP)
• Bluetooth advertising
• SMS technology
The solutions provided strive to roll out successful advertising campaigns to consumers while at the same time,
respecting the privacy of these very same consumers by provisioning the advertising services using an ‘opt-in’
approach.
OTB Africa designs mobile marketing solutions using both ‘push’ and ‘pull’ approaches to send advertising
content ranging from text, images, audio and video to consumers.

The mobile Web refers to internet access using portable devices connected to a public network (The Internet) e.g. a

from their mobile devices. Our solutions offering on the mobile web can be split onto three categories:
Mobile website development: More and more internet users are using their devices to access the internet. We

Mobile online systems Development: OTB Africa has the capacity to develop online systems that are easily
