8. PHI’s Internship Program
• PHI has been very successful in offering internship opportunities to college students in our
region. The main objective of the PHI College Internship Program is to identify and hire
qualified diverse candidates and provide real life work experience. Although most of our
interns work during the summer months, this program does allow interns to return during
their winter and spring breaks.
• In some areas of the business we have well-defined internship programs designed to attract
college students pursuing specific degrees that have been extremely successful. Since 2009 ,
the company has attracted 209 interns in various disciplines throughout PHI and transitioned
47 to full time opportunities. These disciplines include civil, electrical, and environmental
engineering, law, accounting, business, and information technology.
