Reece Boland produced a reflection on their process of creating a flash video. They added background music and an intro, adjusting the volume levels throughout. Different sound effects were combined to create the sound of breaking glass. The narration volume was adjusted to be consistent. Additional climax music was added at the end to build impact, and the narration speed was increased.

2. Process
• At the start I added some
background music and did the
flash’s intro, I tried my best to do
and epic trailer voice but the
longer I did it the weaker it got. In
the background music I split it
near the centre and lowered the
volume, because that part
onwards was louder than the rest,
so all the background music had
equal volume. I made sure that
the background music was under
30 seconds to avoid any copyright.

3. Process
• I gave the background music a bit
of a gap to create an intro before I
started to narrate. I put everything
onto a different track so it is easier
to edit the volume independently.
• The background music is royalty
free so I don’t have to worry
about getting any copyright issues.

4. Process
• At the beginning of this section it
was multiple glass beakers
breaking so I got many different
sound effects for glass shattering
and put them all together to
create that effect.

5. Process
• With this I split my voice where it
got quieter and increased the
volume to make it all the same
level. To avoid having to do this
next time I could either do shorter
takes so my voice has a rest or try
and stay at the same distance
from the microphone.

6. Process
• Towards the end it was getting to
the end/climax so I made sure to
add different music from the
normal background track so it has
more of a crescendo. I also
increased the speed of my voice
so it has more of an impact.
