1- Improve transboundary cooperation in Europe

and prevent extreme phenomena
4 - Develop a sustainable agriculture in Europe and better balance
policy between the goals of food security and sustainable water
management
5 - Promote better coordination between transport and water
policies in relation with inland navigation in Europe:

At present, 4 regional events have been organized:
1 – Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans:
(Bulgaria - Plovdiv, (20 - 23 March 2011),
2 - The International Istanbul Water Forum
(Turkey - Istanbul, from 03 to 05 May 2011),
3- Central Asia
(Tashkent - Uzbekistan, 10-12 May 2011),
By the Central Asia specific transcontinental process Coordinator,
4 – Euro-Mediterranean countries
(Porto, 27-30 September 2011)

8. Europe Region: Next regional preparatory events
2 more meetings are being under preparation in order to cover:
5 – Caucasus: the meeting is being under preparation,
Georgia – on 14 and 15 November 2011,
with REC Caucasus
6 - The Russian Federation
Moscow, on 14 – 15 December 2011,
with the Federal Ministry of Natural Resources,
Water Department,
A Synthesis meeting should be organized
by the European Parliament Intergroup for Water
Mid – January 2012 in Brussels - Belgium
