DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

2. INTRODUCTION
The Department of Education issues the School Calendar and Activities
for the School Year 2022-2023 in accordance with its commitment to
the resumption of 5 days in-person classes despite the health crisis
brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The School Year shall formally open on Monday, August 22, 2022 and
shall end on June 7, 2023. It shall consist of 203 school days.
Unless otherwise amended, School Year 2023-2024 will be from August
28, 2023 to June 28, 2024 and SY 2024-2025 will be from August 26,
2024 to June 27, 2025.
School days shall solely be dedicated to academics and related co-
curricular activities. The conduct of extra-curricular activities shall be
STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

1. 5 DAYS IN PERSON CLASSES
2. BLENDED LEARNING MODALITY - 3 days of in-person classes and 2 days of distance
learning (modular, television/radio-based instruction or 4 days of in-person and 1 day
distance learning.
e.g. Mondays to Wednesdays (in-person classes) and Thursday to Friday (distance learning)
e.g. Mondays to Thursdays (in-person) and Friday (Distance Learning)

Starting November 2, 2022, all private and
public schools shall have transitioned to 5 days
in-person classes. after the said date, no school
shall be allowed to implement purely distance
learning or blended learning except those who
are implementing ADM (Alternative Delivery
Modes)

6. PTA CONFERENCE/CARD
DISTRIBUTION
This shall be conducted not earlier
than the second Saturday following
the end of every quarter

REMEDIAL CLASSES
First 2 days shall be used for performance
review of all school programs /projects and
last 3 days for in-service training.
Maybe conducted two weeks before the

Shall start on December 19, 2022, Monday.
Classes shall resume on January 4, 2023,
Wednesday.
Shall start on July 17, 2023 and ends on July 17,
2023.
