banking system, then huge numbers of people
lined up at their banks to demand their
money, such a bank run can lead to a bank
collapsing.
According to the Federal Deposit Insurance
Corp, over the last 3 years bank failures were as
follows:
2018 - 0, 2019 - 4, 2020 - 4, 2021 - 0, 2022 - 0
Theft and fraud is also a concern, with 43,412
reports of identify theft involving bank fraud, in
the first quarter of 2022.
