The company is producing Refined Sugar with Ancillary products such as Alcohol,
Liquid CO2, and Crude Yeast. There are two seasons in its operation: Milling Season and Off-
season Repair. Milling starts on October and will end on April. Off-Season Repair starts April
until September. During Off-season Repair, Refinery, Distillery, CO2 Plant, Yeast Plant and
Boilers are operating until June which is the start of repair for these units – total factory
shutdown. The main product – LUISITA SUGAR, is both exported and sold locally.
2. Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates actively and supports the Company’s established Quality Environment
System (QES) that will help minimize the negative impacts of our operation to land, air
and water and provide a clean, safe and healthy environment for the reciprocal benefit of
co-employees, stakeholders and the community where we operate.
Implements 5S or Good Housekeeping on his/her work assignment such as; application
of visual order, proper organization of tools or equipment and sustaining cleanliness at
the end of each working day.
Cooperates actively with the Occupational Health and Safety Committee (OHSC) and
works in accordance with the accepted safety practices and standards established by the
CAT in compliance with the provisions of applicable local & international standards.
Conducts daily inspection of various pneumatic, electronic and mechanical instruments,
parts and accessories in the factory.
Disassembles instrumentation parts, components and accessories, examines parts for
defects, perform various tests, repair of replaced parts, reassembles, conducts
performance tests for repaired units and makes necessary adjustments, uses a variety of
specialized tools and test equipment to accomplish work with a high degree of accuracy
and efficiency.
Coordinates with other technicians and/or support personnel on work requiring
complementary effort.
Performs problem-solving activities to correct operational variances, solicits the advice of
the Process Foreman/ Supervisor on problems that cannot be readily solved.
Troubleshoots and analyzes all electronic components that call for necessary repairs and
maintenance.
Dismantles and install needed instruments and its accessories in the process units.
Informs incoming shift of matters requiring attention.
Performs repair, cleaning and upkeep of plant facilities and equipment during shutdown,
scheduled weekly or otherwise, and during off-season.
