16. b) Consequences of not reading the module before tutorial: Pre-reading helps to: i) activate your prior knowledge; ii) build mental schemas; and iii) enable us to make intelligent connections. This will lead to better understanding of the material we are reading and eventually build interest in the classroom It is important that we read through the whole topic first, so that whatever is discussed in class or whatever is spoken by the tutor is familiar to us.
