Richard is an expert on ecosystem-based issues, especially with regard to: climate change mitigation, vulnerabilities, impacts, and adaptation; programme, policy and technical monitoring and evaluation; and systematic rapid evidence assessment. He has wide experience of: strategic planning; evidence and policy development; natural resource management; community involvement and citizen science. Richard presents and publishes regularly, is a referee for international peer-reviewed journals, and an expert reviewer of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5) and on-going Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C (SR15).
