3. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY
PROJECT
I DESIGNED AN OFFICE BUILDING TO BE USED BY TWO
DOCTORS, AND THREE TO FIVE RECEPTIONISTS, OFFICE
WORKERS, AND FILE CLERKS.
This building has a lobby waiting area, for doctor visits,
with a receptionist area to schedule office visits, and a file
area for files. Each of the doctors will have their own office,
with multiple inner office exam and treatment rooms, and
a larger conference room for larger meetings, and a room
to explain operations and procedures. This office building
will also have male and female restrooms, and a
handicapped restroom for it’s clientele. It will also have a
private restroom for the office personnel off the file room
and vending area.
4. MY RATIONALE FOR THIS
PROJECT
I chose a doctors
office because we will
always have a need
for these
professionals, because
people always get sick
and need their
services, or for special
certificates for our
jobs, or to have tests
to ensure our health,
or just check-ups to
say we are healthy.
Since we will always
have a need for
these professionals,
they will need to
have an office space
to see their patients,
and it should be a
comfortable place
where they can heal
and stay healthy!
7. RESEARCH AREAS
When I was part of the way thru, I
realized that I didn’t have a handicapped
restroom, so I had to re-do the restroom
areas to have a handicapped restroom to
be available to the clientele, and the office
workers. So I did research on
handicapped restrooms on the internet,
then re-worked the floor plan to
incorporate a handicapped restroom.
