3. WHAT IS A SEASON?
• We divide up the year into four seasons: spring, summer, autumn
or fall, and winter.
• Each season lasts 3 months.
4. THERE ARE FOUR SEASONS IN A YEAR.
• Summer: being the warmest seasons
• Fall: lying in between
• Winter: being the coldest. Winter is cold and it snows in many
places.
• Spring: lying in between
8. FALL OR AUTUMN SEASON
• Autumn is the season after summer, when leaves fall from
trees. Autumn is the third season of the year, coming after
summer and before winter.
10. WINTER
• Winter is the coldest season of the year, between autumn and
spring; the name comes from an old Germanic word that means
“time of water”. It is the season of the rain and snow.
