It's a great day to be a Bruin, once again. The Legacy Continues!
"Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become
the best that you are capable of becoming."
There are three things in my life which I
really love: God, my family and baseball.
The only problem- once baseball season
starts, I change the order around a bit. –
Al Gallagher, 1971
Ryan ,
May the wind always be at your
back. Gods speed".
Our love,
Poppie and Grammy MacGinnis
Ryan....I am so proud of your dedication
& strength both on & off the field. You
add so much joy to my life. I will always
be one of your greatest fans! Poppa
would be so proud of what you have
accomplished!
I love you a whole bunch,
Grandma

Andy became Varsity Coach of the Long Beach Wilson High School Bruins for
the 2001 season. Since then, the Bruins have been consistently competitive in the Moore
League and the CIF level. The Bruins qualified for the playoffs in all but one of the
seasons under Coach Hall’s leadership. Additionally, they were Moore League
Champions and/or Co-Champions in 2003, 2005 and 2007 seasons. The Bruins advanced
to the CIF Title Game in 2004, 2007 and again in 2008.
The 2007 Wilson Bruins won the CIF Southern Section Division I Championship.
The Bruins were later named “Baseball-America” National Champions, as well as
Student Sports California State Champions. The 2007 season record of 32-3 set a school
and a Moore League record to wins in a single baseball season. Andy has been named
Press-Telegram’s “Dream Team Coach of the Year” three times and CIF Coach of the Year
once. In 18 full seasons as a varsity coach, Hall has amassed a 313-186-5 mark (.627).
In addition to baseball, Coach Hall has coached football at the high school level
for the past 20 years. During his tenure as a football coach, his 1993 Frosh-Soph team at
Saint Anthony is one of his favorite memories. That a team posted an undefeated 10-0
record and the entire season was one that Andy counts as quite defining for himself as
a coach. “Having the opportunity to mold the team the way we did that year made me
realize that I had something to offer to this profession”.
Andy is thankful to his parents Jerry and Patricia Hall for the opportunity to
become the person that he is today. My mom always wanted us (my older brother Matt
and I) to do what we want with our adult lives. She taught us that getting a college
education would open a lot of doors for us, and it has. My dad always said, “It matters
less what you make in a paycheck each month and more about how you feel about going
to work each day.”
Other individuals and coaches that Hall believes were instrumental in his
development as a coach go back as far as Little League and high school. They include
Jerry Hall, my first coach and teacher; Leo Hand, Steve Capic, Ed Carberry and Larry
Randall, my high school coaches; Frenchy Guesno and John Rambo, my American
Legion and Connie Mack coaches; Bob Wuestoff, John Gonzalves, Dave Snow, Mike
Weathers, Randy Sandfur, Dr. Jack Rose and R. Tom Morgan my Long Beach State
teachers of baseball and great men of teaching.
Head Coach
Andy Hall
2012 marks Coach Andy Hall’s 22 nd Season as a head varsity baseball coach.
Coach Hall began coaching baseball in 1987 as a Junior Varsity Assistant at St. Anthony
High School. He was named Head Varsity Coach of the Saints for the 1991 season. In his
10 seasons with the Saints, Andy’s teams won 137 games, 2 Camino Real League
Championships and had 9 CIF playoff appearances, including one CIF Division 5
Championship Game in 1994.

Coach Heavin a graduate of Wilson High School class of
1983 will primarily be working with the outfielders and
coaching first base. Coach Heavin is looking forward to
working with this year’s team, and feels that the team will
continue the winning tradition of Wilson Baseball.
In addition to coaching Baseball, Coach Heavin also
served as the Varsity Linebackers Coach for the Bruins
as well as teaching Health Education at Wilson. Coach
Heavin is a long time resident of Long Beach, and when
not coach or teaching enjoys spending time with his wife

Eric Fuller
Prior to coming to Long Beach Wilson, Eric Fuller coached for
11 years at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance. He served
one year as the Head JV Coach before serving as the Varsity Pitch-
ing Coach, a position he held for ten seasons. He was promoted to
Associate Head Coach in 2005. He also served for one season (2003)
as the pitching coach at Long Beach City College. Fuller played an
instrumental role in the success of the BMHS program over the years,
including helping the team reach the CIF semi-finals in 2008. Under
his guidance, BMHS pitchers were named to the All-Del Rey League
team 30 times, 5 were named All-CIF, and 7 went on to pitch at the
collegiate level. He is a 1994 graduate of Bishop Montgomery where he
had an outstanding career. He was named Mission League “Pitcher of
the Year” in 1994 and the BMHS “Athlete of the Year” after his senior
season. He ranks in the top 10 in five single season pitching categories
at BMHS. Fuller pitched at Cal State Northridge, where he majored
