Q: What features are planned? RFC support, easier setup of the NW Cloud Connector on-prem.
A: Two items we are working on are following:
1. More protocols will be supported, like RFC for direct connectivity to ABAP systems, or SMTP for sending emails via an
on-premise email provider.
2. For the SAP Cloud Connector, the OS PAM will be extended, it will support Linux, Windows and for development
purposes also MacOS.
Q: How to consume a secure SOAP web service in NW cloud? I ahve already asked this question in scn and Timo had
replied to it. But i tried that option still i am not successful. Could you pls tel me the basic points to be noted to do this?
A: There are following gaps which we are going to close in order to use Web Services more effectively:
1. A key store service will be added to the platform that allows applications to configure the TLS communication.
2. Right now, the destinations API must be used for on-demand to on-premise connectivity via SAP Cloud Connector.
This limitation will be removed and then arbitrary Java API can be used for on-demand to on-premise connectivity
which is able to connect via a proxy.
Both of these features are not only useful for Web Service usage, but are needed for connectivity scenarios in general.

Q: Will the SAP Business Connector be required on-premise?
A: No
Q: Will be the integration with SuccessFactors supported directly in the NW Cloud platform? Would make a lot of
sense, espec. when developing applications which require the data from SFSF.
A: Yes, integration with SuccessFactors will be supported directly by SAP NetWeaver Cloud, incl. e.g. the trust to the
SuccessFactors certificates.
Another expected advantage when launching SuccessFactors integration scenarios is that by having one and the same
data centers better performance is expected especially for high volumes of data

A: Also the trust to the SAP By Design certificate will be included in the SAP NetWeaver Cloud trust store by default.
