                  2008 Convention Seeks ‘Justice For All’
                      Stern Reports SEIU Passes Two Million Members



W         ith a calculator in his hand that linked to a super-sized

important to say and the delegates to SEIU’s 2008 convention

                                                                                 of work. For a long period, the union had concentrated its
                                                                                 resources in California to build density and workers’ strength.
                                                                                 But with national healthcare employers, such as HCA and Te-

to rethink its programs, policies, and practices. Among the ac-

Caucus, Asian Paci c Islander Caucus, First American Caucus,
Lavender Caucus, Latino Caucus, People with Disabilities Cau-
cus, Retiree Caucus, and Women’s Caucus.
