Introduction
China has become the world's largest energy producer, forming an
integrated development and supply system on coal, electricity, oil and
gas, as well as renewable energy

China will focus on construction of economical energy, friendly environment society,
relies on energy technology and system innovation, fully upgrade energy efficiency,
vigorously develop renewable energy, promote fossil energy exploitation, effort on
construction of security, stable, economic, and clean modern energy industry system,
and thus contribute on world economic development

1. China energy development
1.1 Energy supply capacity is remarkably increased
     China's total primary energy        3.18 billion tons of standard coal
     production
     raw coal production                 3.52 billion tons
    crude oil production                  200 million tons
    natural gas production                103.1 billion cubic meters
    Power installed capacity             1.06 billion kWh
    annual electricity generated         4.7 trillion kWh
    Oil pipeline                         70,000 kilometers in length
    gas trunk pipeline                   40,000 km in length
    Power network                        179,000 kilometers in length of
                                         transmission lines (>330 kilovolts
                                         (kV))

1. China energy development

1.2 Development of non-fossil energy
    15 units of nuclear power station have been installed and in operation
    with a capacity of 12.54 MkW, 26 units are been under construction with
    a capacity of 29.24 MkW

    National hydropower installed capacity reached to 230 MkW

    Wind power capacity is reached to 47 MkW

    Strong growth in the photovoltaic power generation, installation capacity
    reached up to 3 MkW

    Over 200 million square meters of solar water heated collector is
    installed

         1.3 Resource constraint


             China's per capita energy resources in the world is at
             relatively low levels, per capita share of coal, oil and natural
             gas is only of 67%, 5.4% and 7.5% of the world average level.
             Resource constraint is increasing

             Increase of environmental pressures

3. Development of renewable energy
  At the end of "Twelve-Five", non-fossil energy consumption will reach
  11.4% of primary energy consumption, non-fossil energy power installed
  capacity will be reached to 30%.

  By 2015, China's power installed capacity in different areas will be :
        hydropower                        290 GW
         nuclear power                     40 GW
         wind power                        > 100 GW
         offshore wind power               5GW
         solar-power capacity              21GW
         (Distributed solar power)         (10GW)
        solar collector area             400Mm2
 Development and utilization of biomass energy and other renewable energies
 Speeding up the shale gas exploration and development

  China renewable energy development strategy can be summarized as:

    •   Government support
    •   legal guarantees
    •   Introduction of competition
    •   Relying on Science and technology

4. Strengthening international cooperation


  China's development needs the world and the prosperity of the world
  needs China

  Each country should uphold the principles of mutual benefit and win-
  win common development, and continue to explore and develop the
  energy resource with mutually beneficial cooperation, with protection
  of the intellectual property rights, with actively support to the
  developing and least developed countries, with the clean and efficient
  energy technologies, and thus to promote the global green growth
