From 28 May through 4 September, 2,583 SGS employees participated in the Global Corporate Challenge, a workplace health and wellbeing program designed to boost the health and performance of employees around the world. With 400,000 participants from organizations across the globe, it empowered participants to become active within their day-to-day lives via simple and sustainable behavioral changes – motivated by teamwork, competition, goal setting and a virtual journey around the world. In a nutshell, participants wore a pedometer and enter their daily number of steps on the GCC website. They received tailored nutritional advice and tracked their performance over time.
