just another word stuck in my head. But
that word was opening up various
possibilities simultaneously. That word –
freedom –begged for understanding and

silent revolution that had come about. There was less of
purdah and when the woman Pradhan is addressed by the
BDO, the Deputy Commissioner, the Secretary to a State
Government, the MLA, the Minister and Secretary to
Government of India as “Pradhanji” or “Sarpanchji” does it not
enable the elected woman representative and her sisters to
hold their heads high?

usually gets my hackles up to have to explain
that work from home is challenging and fulfilling
work.”
