Presentation of the results of the work of the OECD/SIGMA – ERRADA Working Group on
simplification of administrative procedures to the Board of Trustees of ERRADA and to other
distinguished guests

In September 2015 OECD/SIGMA and the Egyptian Regulatory Reform & Development Activity (ERRADA) launched its
co-operation to:
• Familiarise the Working Group with the European Principles for Good Administration as a framework to deliver
efficient and effective administrative services to citizens and businesses;
• Run a pilot analysis of a selected administrative service – the renewal of industrial licencing in Egypt – to
determine ways to simplify procedures in the selected service; and
• Come up with a set of recommendations for decision-makers for the simplification of the selected
administrative service in.
The purpose of the event is to introduce the results of the co-operation and to provide a platform for discussion on the
implementation of the specific recommendations. The event will also focus on the future application of the pilot and
the efforts of the Egyptian authorities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of service provision for the sake of
citizens and businesses.
The event is open for the Egyptian and international Press on the results of the discussion.
