North west Corporate deals November 2013

1. We are delighted to have been named as the North West Business Insider Legal Team of the Year at the
Dealmakers Dinner on 24 October. We were also delighted to end the third quarter of 2013 having done the
most deals in the North West, the position we held for the whole of 2012. The growing confidence in the
economy has certainly translated into more deals and more clients thinking about doing deals during Q2, 3
and 4 of this year and our pipeline suggests that this trend will continue into at least Q1 and 2 of 2014. Over the last few months we’ve
seen a significant number of cross border deals with US corporates particularly keen to invest in the UK. While we’ve been involved in
some substantial exits, we’re also very pleased to have been involved in so many deals in which SMEs have received early rounds of
finance as they move along their growth curve. All in all a very positive few months. Long may it continue!
