2. Always use a subject
• You should always have a subject on
any email that you send. The person
you are emailing will be aware of what
the email is about and can decide if
they want to reply right away.

3. Always be respectful
• Always be respectful when sending an
email. Be very nice

4. Use Good Grammar
• Always use good grammar so it is easy
for people to understand what you are
saying.

5. Make sure to include a
greeting
• Before you get right to the point
make sure you say hello first so the
person does not feel overwhelmed.

6. Answer all questions in one
email
• Make sure to answer all of your
questions so the person you are
emailing doesn’t have to keep
wondering.

7. Be Polite
• Always be polite when sending an
email and if you are emailing someone
who has authority over you make sure
you watch your tone.

8. DON’T USE ALL CAPS!
• Do not use all caps because it will
make the person think that you are
yelling and them and no one likes a
yeller!

9. Use punctuation
• If you do not use correct punctuation
you will look uneducated because some
of your sentences could go on… and
on… and on!

10. Use a good format
• Use good formatting when sending an
email so it doesn’t look cluttered or
like you are saying to much.

11. Do not reply to spam
• Don’t reply to spam because it can
give your computer/laptop a virus.
