3. Know Your Keywords
Aside from any type of advertising in the budget for
your app, ideally, the best way to reach your potential
customers or audience is to include a ‘keyword’ in your
apps name. That means making your app more
searchable through using a term that your target fan
base would search for. For example your band or
organizations name would be the most basic way to
name your app.
4. Tips:
Search for your potential name in the different app
stores to see what you find!
Make sure your name is memorable, easy to spell and
search.
Protect yourself! This could become a legal issue!
Research the guidelines for your particular platform,
for example: Palm, Android or Apple
5. Remember:
You don’t have to use a name that is directly linked to
something already established. You can think outside
the box and name your app based on an original
creation like ‘angry birds’ or ‘fruit ninja’ these apps
became popular and therefore created their target key
word. ;)
6. Remember:
Some app names are taken or prohibited. Don’t buy any
URLs or begin branding yourself with out making
100% sure that your name can be used!

7. Finally,
If your app name starts out as Whatagwan for “what’s
going on” in a Jamaican accent... change it to PArts.
Trust me.
Actually, don’t, because that’s the name of my app. ; )
