Panos Kokkinias is a Greek photographer born in 1965 who lives and works in Athens. He received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1991-93, an MFA from Yale University School of Art in 1994-96, and a PhD from the University of Derby, England in 2002. His influences include Gregory Crewdson and Philip-Lorca diCorcia. He has had numerous solo exhibitions around the world and is known for his saturated images depicting a sense of entrapment and disenchantment. Kokkinias typically shoots with large format cameras and scans his negatives for digital editing and printing.
