Twelve hat companies participated in a promotional event where they distributed hats in ten different markets across the United States on June 18, 2010. Over 3,247 hats were distributed in total in cities like Boulder, Chicago, Detroit, Long Branch, Lancaster, New York, Philadelphia, Ridgeway, San Diego, and Stockton to promote their brands.
