11. Preparations immediately after
completion of discharging:-
Turn blanks for tank cleaning line hydrants
Turn blanks for overboard line
Unlock the seachest and overboard valves
Arrange for 4 sets of portable tank cleaning
trolleys + fire hoses
Arrange for 4 sets of Dasic blowers + ducts +
fire hoses
12. Tank cleaning / Gas Freeing
operation:-
To wash all cargo tanks in pairs for 5 hours each with
fixed and portable machines.
A total of 130 mins in each 5 hour period will be
spent roughly on giving drops and then shifting of
these machines. Drops 5, 10, 15, 20, 25m each hour.
Tanks will be Gas freed as a priority so that work by
the special survey team can begin.
Require to run 2 blowers each in all tanks. Each
blower requires atleast 20 mins to be shifted. Total
time on shifting blowers in each 5 hour period will be
roughly 80 mins
13. In addition, the following
jobs:-
To provide SS II team with a Safety Officer at all times
for issuing Permits and assist with stagger test.
To assist in tank inspection / removal of water from
tanks
Cleaning of portable machines & gas freeing blowers
Flushing / pressure testing of slop tank heating coils
Preparation of Gymnasium / alleyways for drydock
To prepare for reducer on No.2 portside manifold for
deslopping in Singapore
To blank 5C IG line; to be opened up after deslopping
14. Jobs prior to entering Dry Dock
Deslopping / Gas Freeing for 14 hrs
To ensure slop tank heating coils filled with Fresh water
To wash and secure all tank clean equipment
Deballasting to reach required draft of 5m / 6m
Stores – Checking and securing
LSA / FFA to be secured
Keep mooring lines ready for docking stations
IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING GOOD ANCHOR
WATCH IN LIGHT SHIP CONDITION.
