 Invented by Dr.J.Stross Hall in 2001
 Based on the concept of molecular nanotechnology
 Foglets consists of microscopic computers ,gears,motors
with telescopic arms
 Arms interlock –power & communication
 Individual foglets 2-3 % of space
 Robot (foglet) with the size of a human cell
 Swarm of foglets known as utility fog
 Enables : -
creation
levitation
manipulation
teleportation
shape shifting
 Nanotech designs based on carbons
 Forms a crystal which is very stiff and strong
 Structural element of Foglet made of aluminium oxide
 Each Foglet has 12 arms
 Arms rotate on the joint at the base
 Gripper rotate about arm axis
 Little robot called Foglet - 12 arms.
 Grippers at the end of arms.
 Foglets can simulate any environment
 In a room filled with Foglets –walk without noticing
anything.
