Sam Daniels
2. Antagonist of Robin Hood – The
‘Sheriff of Nottingham’ The antagonist of ‘Repressed Memories’
3. Similarities
• Both characters have rather rich backgrounds.
You can see this in their costumes. The Sheriff
of Nottingham has a black cloak and what
appears to be gold plated armour. The
antagonist in repressed memories has a very
fancy leather tabard and a hand woven
luxurious belt from the highly respected
monks.
4. • Another similarity would be that their ‘rivals’
or enemies are both poor. This means that
their rivals have distinct differences: the rich
versus the poor, and the poor escaping.
5. Differences
• One difference would be that the Sheriff gets
other men to kill his rivals, however, the
antagonist in Repressed Memories would
rather get the glory himself, and deal with his
own rivals, which means you could say he is
braver than the Sheriff.
6. • Another difference would be that the Sheriff’s
motives were for a woman’s love, however
Alberto's motives remain hidden in the
opening sequence, which makes him much
more mysterious, as the motives may be much
more deeper.
