The workshop was held on July 30, 2012 for groups of 15 schools, children, and teachers from Salcete Taluka in South Goa District to prepare them for disasters. Shri N D Agrwal IAS, the Collector of South Goa, inaugurated the workshop to help make schools safer. The workshop aimed to educate students and teachers on how to respond during emergencies and disasters.
