Smart work
hard work
v/s
What is smart work?
 Working smart is working with goal in mind, a goal that
is meaningful to you.
 Working smart also means knowing what points are
high priority and what you can be flexible on, so you
can focus on what is important.
 Smart work also refer being creative and
looking for other way to get work done
faster.
What is hard work?
 Hard work involves commitment involvement and
seriousness.
 Working hard also means working honestly.
 The harder you work, the luckier you get. The only
failure is not trying.
 Hard work is stage of physical work.
HARD WORK V/S SMART WORK
 Smart working does not means that you becomes a
shirk and start avoiding
hard work because again
“there is no substitute for
hard work”.
 Smart work means hard
work in right direction.
Smart work is essential to ensure we
aren’t wasting our time doing
something that in end bring no
profit, while hard work teaches that
even though how genius we are, how
cunning we are, “genius is one
percent inspiration ninety nine
percent perspiration”-Thomas
Edison. This proves that without
hard work even the smartest way of
study cannot help us out. Continue.....
 Working smart requires planning proactive not reactive
but in hard work we don’t make planning which is
effective & proactive.
 In smart work time and effort is considered together but
in hard work more focus is given to efforts.
 Work if used alone makes you tired but if you work hard
along with smart thinking you will touch the peek of
success.
Continue...
 A smart worker is a person who
does things smartly. That means
he knows people from whom he
can get work done & will
delegate to him. Smart worker
believes in coordination and
managing things.
 A hard worker on the other
hand puts long hours every
day, probably doing the
same thing again and
again. A hard worker is like
an artist who meticulously
works on creating and find
tuning his art.
Working style
Continue…
Earning capacity ,career growth
 A smart worker will normally earn more
and is quick to get career gain by
utilizing conditions around him. He will
able to create favourable environment
which helps him to succeed much faster
then a hard worker.
 A hard worker usually are one their
table trouble shoot the problem.
They work for their own satisfaction
rather then being worried about
creating impression on bosses
Continue….
Professional reputation
A hard workers reputation is
based on years of hard work &
meticulousness. He is trusted to
be professional & competent; his
opinion is most often sough as
an expert
A smart worker on the other hand
has great reputation with the
management . He is kind of person
who gets the deal done. He brings
revenue to the company and is
thus star performer of the
company.
Continue….
While a smart worker derives his happiness from
the deals he made & the work he got done, hard
worker is happy to solve difficult problems he
encountered in course of his work
Continue…
Smart work-when you
give priority to your
mental ability more then
physical ability
-when you use your
physical effort other then your
mental effort
Limits of hard work
 Hard work goes so far when there is economic recession
 After working hard a person get tired in the evening
 In hard work a person working hard get disconnected from society thus
he cannot make proper coordination.
 When a person perform hard work he completes task on his own and
this is not a proper utilisation of resources
Limits of smart work
 It makes a person lay.
 It makes a person egoist.
 When a smart worker doesn’t take advice
from others then he doesn’t achieve
goal.
“effort is
important
but knowing
where to
make effort
makes all the
difference”
essence
Hard work and smart work go hand to hand. No one can use a single
task for achieving success. Without smart work we cannot decide
goals and use best technology to achieve success and without smart
work we cannot become consistent worker on our goals. We cannot
maximize the utilization of technology. Finally a smart and hard
worker get definite success in time.
