Introduction
nanotec for schools is a Swiss non-profit association with ideal goals
located in Lausanne. Its first objective is to promote STEM and
nanotechnologies through knowledge sharing and within specific
projects.
We give organisations a learning methodology with modules, courses,
pedagogical material and training for national and international
competitions.
All this material can also be used for schools exchanges between students
at national and European level.

TIME SCHEDULE OF THE NANO SCIENCE CLUB
Nisulanmäki school (Finland)
 The club was organized every
Monday around 2 months (7 weeks)
 The club started immediately after
school 2.30 pm and lasted 2 hours
until 4.30 pm
 The Club started always with having
a small snack together

 - Controlled drug delivery (FIN
- Scientix)

International offices in schools
The four key points of the international office could be :
 The embrace and increase the international skills -
including language skills, cultural knowledge and
STEM
 Deepening or adding the school's own competence
in the specific matter (e.g. science)
 Preparation for the multicultural/intercultural
learning environment
 Understanding and absorbing the global
responsibility / global education
The international project (Finland and Japan)
Integrating geography, religion, english and Finnish by using ICT
 Both countries presented their
geographical location, the main
religion, culture and traditional
events.
 Students also wanted to know
how is the school in the other
country, so we presented our
school through video (Finnish
School day) which was made by
students.
 At the end we had skype lesson
and students talked with each
others.

  • 3. Introduction nanotec for schools is a Swiss non-profit association with ideal goals located in Lausanne. Its first objective is to promote STEM and nanotechnologies through knowledge sharing and within specific projects. We give organisations a learning methodology with modules, courses, pedagogical material and training for national and international competitions. All this material can also be used for schools exchanges between students at national and European level.
  • 5. Objectives  Promote STEM and Nanotechnologies at the local, national and European level  Provide innovative training devices for STEM Education  Encourage STEM knowledge sharing
  • 7. Projects  Nanoclubs : introducing nanotechnologies for school students  Promoting STEM in the International offices in schools  ICT, Math & Literacy for adults lifelong learning  Local, national and European workshops
  • 9. TIME SCHEDULE OF THE NANO SCIENCE CLUB Nisulanmäki school (Finland)  The club was organized every Monday around 2 months (7 weeks)  The club started immediately after school 2.30 pm and lasted 2 hours until 4.30 pm  The Club started always with having a small snack together 1. Introduction  - Club  - NanoScience 2. Nanotechnology  - Finland  - Nanomedicine 3. Hands-on experiment  - Controlled drug delivery (FIN - Scientix) 4. Competition  - Shooting 5. Competion  - Editing 6. Competition  - Finishing 7. Extra hands-on  - High School Chemistry
  • 10. International offices in schools The four key points of the international office could be :  The embrace and increase the international skills - including language skills, cultural knowledge and STEM  Deepening or adding the school's own competence in the specific matter (e.g. science)  Preparation for the multicultural/intercultural learning environment  Understanding and absorbing the global responsibility / global education
  • 11. The international project (Finland and Japan) Integrating geography, religion, english and Finnish by using ICT  Both countries presented their geographical location, the main religion, culture and traditional events.  Students also wanted to know how is the school in the other country, so we presented our school through video (Finnish School day) which was made by students.  At the end we had skype lesson and students talked with each others.
