Notas del editor
-Thank you very much for inviting me to explain the practice: Today in the classroom, tomorrow in the company.
-My principal research topic is based on: Complex systems, above all, integrated systems, connecting companies-educational institutions and students.
-Nowadays I´m researching about the University leavers 1st year students at the Faculty of engineering mixing schools and universities.
-I think it´s important to focus our research at the gaps between companies-educational institutions-students because sometimes it seems that they talk a different language.
The Future We Want
The proposal contained 17 goals with 169 targets covering a broad range of sustainable development issues
-I´d like to explain an example for an educational institution, another one for a company and another one for students to show you the way we´re working with all of them.
-Our language at ICCI is INNOVATION but what is it?
-What about students?
-Do they have anything to say? Do they have places and moments to feel involved in their own education?
-Do they know how to choose their profession or tools to know which their talents are?
-I´d like to explain an example for an educational institution, another one for a company and another one for students to show you the way we´re working with all of them.
We think that innovation may appear when the subject/company/educational institution have good results and mix them with creativity.
We have to go on working on the collaboration between students-educational institutions-companies and we have to think about each one´s goals.
Which are students´goals?
Which are educational institutions´goals?
Which are companies´goals?
We have tools that we didn´t have before and they may be useful to talk about the tendencies.
Make their students to know themselves.
Development of content of curriculum with practical content focusing on open learning, social competence and soft skills.
Impulse-giving schools participated in a continuing development of this innovative form of teaching.
Analysis, review and rating of reform-pedagogical concepts regarding their use and implementation in the secondary school system.
Concept of cooperative open learning within a blended-learning-setting, models to be used in classes using information technology, it-classrooms, notebook-classes…) in vocational schools.
Participation in EU Erasmus + projects
Promotion of the self-organized competency-based learning strategies.
Development of personal competencies
Improvement of social skills
elearning-dimension working with digital media, mobile devices
Pedagogical settings
Students like educational advisors which are students and student-trainers at the same time.
-We have to realise that the improvement of educational systems is at schools with teachers, parents, students, educational resposables, all the agents of education.
-In June 2014 with the context of deep economic crisis in the country, the situation of CVR, a religious school that belongs to an old Institution was delicate, they were loosing students and teachers. They had lost the confidence of parents because of not renewing their teaching methods.
-We designed a renovation project with a scientific model and a Balanced scorecard.
-The most difficult area was: managing leadership. It required adhesion of all the agents, teachers, non-teaching-staff, the management team and the parents. We informed them about the strategy. We designed strategical lines, processes, indicators…to measure the school.
-They had always had good academical results but a lack of creativity. We designed a new Baccalaureate with learning methods for gaining necessary competencies for the labour market, projects based on the student as protagonist of its own learning.
-Risks: Students and parents. They didn´t want to change the way they had to learn. We became them teachers for young students an they realised that the change was good. BÁKALOURIAT
Based on the principles of:
Freedom to choose what is learned and when-all within a student´s own responsibility to achieve a learning progress.
Cooperation with other team-members.
Budgeting time: the planning and self-organisation.
The concept has been introduced within a development co-operation between educational institutions in other European countries.
Promotion of the self-organized competency-based learning strategies.
Development of personal competencies
Improvement of social skills
elearning-dimension working with digital media, mobile devices
Pedagogical settings
Students like educational advisors which are students and student-trainers at the same time.
-Liderazgo: Mostrarles el camino, los pasos que deben seguir. Llevarlos de un colegio a otro para mostrar el sistema de cada colegio.
Openness: students can choose what to do when.
Feedback is given by students on behalf of self-and peer-reflection, by teachers and by focusing on eProtfolio-work as Quality-management by standardisation (employment).
Using learning platforms for learning processes, outside of regular courses.
Using mobile devices to enhance digital competency.
Individualisation, Advancement of social, personal and digital competences, soft skills.
-Conocer quien es el alumno, esta muchos años en el colegio
-Cambiar la forma en que trabajan los profesores y cambiar la forma en que ellos trabajan juntos.
-What about companies? How can we motivate business to engage in education? What are its benefits?
-We have to think again about their goals and their agents (what product do they offer?, who do they offer to? How do they offer? What type of employees do they need? If they realise about the importance of their employers´competencies to get their goals, they will engage in education.
-How could we adapt this to diverse cultures?
-I think that we have to talk the same language. Sometimes we think that innovation is changing everything and all the time.
Here we have a school-boat in Bangladesh. It´s an innovative school. They have managed the way that their students don´t loose classes because of the floods and they have good results.
-I think that every school may get their goals and null drop-out if they´re themselves with their own characteristics mixing good results and creativity.
-So…how can EU and national governments stimulate cooperation between educational institutions and business?
-I think that there should be interpreters of management between them to try to connect their own goals with a general goal, to solve the gaps in their communication.
-We should try to measure and measure to improve.
-A goal without a plan is just a wish.
-Parents en el gráfico.
-Refugees (diferencia entre inmigrantes, refugiados…) Lack of skills, how to integrate in labour market.
What is the education for? (Diferentes instituciones: UNESCO, UE…)
-Fortaleza Educación-Economia-Tecnología
