3. High Level
Program
Overview
● Phase I Studio (May 15th - July 21st): 20
teams, customer discovery, Mentor Madness,
and market opportunity pitches to advance.
● Phase 2 (July 24th - September 24th):
Investor readiness, storytelling, Capital
Stack, Demo Day.
● Phase 3 (October - November ): Focus on
differentiated learning, proof points, building
out teams, and understanding next steps to
bring the product to market and to scale.
4. Funding
Refresher
● Phase I: 20 companies get $5k
● Phase II: 10 companies get an additional
$25k (all 20 teams will give market
opportunity pitches to our funder and board,
top 10 are selected for additional 25k)
● All 20 companies are still able to attend demo
day ($2.5k travel stipend for this)
● Phase III: up to $67.5k in investor matching
funds (from a pool of $250k)
5. Phase One Details
(May 15th - July 21st)
○ Phase I will be focused on proving your product
market fit, and GHG impacts,culminating in a pitch
on the market opportunity you’ve identified to gain
admission to phase II.

6. Weekly 1:1’s
● Purpose: Conduct 1:1 deep dives on
specific topics, work through any
current challenges, review deliverables
and offer support.
● Format: Your company team and the
V4C program team will meet each week.
At the beginning of the program these
meetings will be longer, and include
deep dives into your technology and
challenges, before tapering back.
● We will be sending out a scheduling
form later this afternoon.
7. Phase I
Deliverables
● Purpose: Apply workshop learnings and
exercises directly to your business.
● 2 Forms:
○ Small weekly activities that are
related to session content . These
will be due the following week
prior to 1:1’s with V4C team
○ Each of the deliverables will be
building blocks which will fit into
your end of phase presentation and
then pitch deck.

9. Mentor
Madness
● Purpose: Match you with a NYSERDA EIR,
introduce you to our mentor network, and
give you exposure to how to run mentor
meetings.
● Format: June 6th - June 16th we’ll host
two weeks of “Madness” where you’ll have
the opportunity to meet with a mix of
NYSERDA EIR’s and outside mentors. In
these 1:1 sessions both you and the
mentors will have the opportunity to ask
each other questions and explore if there’s
a synergy.
● These meetings will be facilitated via
scheduling links for outside mentors, and
internally for EIR’s

Expectations
- Focus: This is your time! Make the most
of it.
- Participate: We know zoom fatigue is
real, and you don’t need to keep your
video on all the time, but when we have
outside speakers please have your
cameras on and be active listeners.
- Over communicate: If you can’t make a
workshop or submit a deliverable on
time we are super understanding, please
regularly communicate with us so we
can better support you.
