7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own
authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Love – Unconditional and relentless
Believe and trust in Jesus Christ that on the cross Christ shed his blood to save us through grace from love.
Grace alone saves
Fear of God is the beginning of all knowledge
Everyone knows there is a God, they deny God in their un- righteousness
Even our Greatest actions are filthy rags in Gods eyes without the white robe of Christ covering up our sins as
Gods wrath was satisfied in Christ who gave Himself as a gift to The Father
The bible is the only sure authority of truth
Questions of Atheists
1) You can't justify moral law outside the bible
2) SURGE 2nd law of thermodynamics. Going down in emery, universe had beginning remnant heat from
the beginning, great galaxy seeds galaxy
Einstein general relativity, space time and matter had a unified beginning – Hubble expanding universe
1929
3) Free will to except or reject God
God will not force you to love Him, God loves you enough to leave you alone and give you up to your own
desires.
4) How can we bee free and God sovereign? Recorded football game, know scores still watch it, and
players still had will to move.
5) Were you there to see Jesus rise from the dead? 500 eyewitnesses, woman, written, not refuted in those
times, cross analogy and dead sea scrolls
Questions of Atheists
1. Does God have free will?
1. If you say yes, can He choose to do evil? No, God cannot choose to do evil. God cannot act in a manner that is contradictory to his own nature. His nature is holy, and he is not capable of doing that which
is contrary to his own nature, namely, sin and/or evil. However, evil would need to be defined here as well. Within Christianity, evil has at least two different distinctions. There is ontological evil which
would be, for example, the person of Satan who is evil by nature. There would also be what's called natural evil which is referenced in Isaiah 45:7. The latter is different than the former because the latter
deals with disasters where the former deals with an evil individual whose will and purposes are to do harm without just cause.
Furthermore, an atheist would have no objective grounds by which evil could be determined and a standard established. Without a standard, nothing more than opinions can be offered as to what is good or
bad, right or wrong, and evil or not evil. There may be things that are unpleasant or not preferred, but this does not constitute evil in the ontological sense.
2. If you say no, why not? The answer has already been explained. God cannot act in a manner contrary to his own nature. Evil is contrary to his holiness, so God cannot choose to do evil.
3. If you say yes, then doesn't that mean that your God's actions are questionable? Since God cannot do evil, his actions are not questionable.
4. If you say yes, then can he have a state of uncertainty? (See the free will argument against God's existence). See above.
2. When having discussions like this, it is first necessary to define terms. Free will is the ability to make choices. However, our choices can only be made within the confines of a person's nature. For example, though I
am free to conceive of many things I might want to accomplish, I'm not always able to accomplish what I desire. I could conceive of the idea of flapping my arms to fly to the moon, but I'm not able to do it. Likewise,
I cannot conceive of something that I cannot conceive of. If I cannot conceive of something, I cannot make a free will choice to want it, accept it, reject it, or whatever. So, free will does not mean that a person has the
ability to do anything. Instead, it is the ability to make choices within the constraints of our nature and not in a manner that contradicts it.
3. What crime deserves an eternity of punishment? Any crime against an infinitely holy God deserves an eternity of punishment. It is not an issue of any particular crime that deserves an eternal punishment but who the
crime is against. Let me illustrate. If a man were to slap another man in the face, the result might be an argument or even a fist fight. However, if that same man were to slap the President of the United States in the
face, the result would be quite different. The person would go to jail and face felony charges. So, why does the exact same act get such different results? The answer simple. It is not the act that deserves a higher
punishment. Instead, the different result is determined by who it is against. So, if we move up the chain of command to the infinite God of the universe, when we break his law, there is an eternal consequence because
of who the crime (sin such as lying, etc.) is against.
4. What does it mean to you when you say that Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are one God? This is not an issue of "what does it mean to me." The question is what is the biblical doctrine of God? The answer is
simple. The Bible teaches that there is only one God in all existence (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6, 8; 45:5). Furthermore, the Bible teaches that God is comprised of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit who are each called
God, who each have a will, each recognize the existence of others, and even speak to each other. This is not illogical, but it is paradoxical. So, the biblical doctrine of God is known as the Trinity. This is the teaching
that there is only one God in all existence who is comprised of the person of the Father, the person of the Son, and the person of the Holy Spirit. For more information see (What is the Trinity?).
5. For Christians who pray to Jesus in hope he will intercede with God, does this make sense if Jesus and God are one and the same? This question reveals a lack of understanding of the doctrine of the Trinity. When we
say that Jesus and God are one and the same, clarification is necessary. In Christian theology, there is what is called the ontological Trinity and the economic Trinity. The ontological Trinity states that each member
of the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) share the same divine nature. The economic Trinity states that each of them has a different role. For example, the Father elects, the Son redeems, and the Holy Spirit
convicts of sin. The Father sent the Son, but the Son did not send the Father. The Holy Spirit is sent, but did not send the Son. So they are the same in their divine nature, but they are not the same in that they are
distinct persons and exhibit different roles.
So, Jesus the Son is praying to God the Father. Also, Jesus is both divine and human (hypostatic union). As man, he is able to die for people, and as divine in nature, he is able to appease the person of God the
Father.
6. If human evils must be allowed so that we can have free will, then why did God also create natural evils? (i.e., floods, disease, etc) This question is insufficient. It begs the question by saying that human evils must be
allowed in order to have free will. God, who cannot commit evil, has free will. So the idea that free will necessitates allowing evil demonstrates an insufficient understanding of the concept of free will.
Questions of Atheists 2
1. Is your interpretation of the Bible correct? This question is insufficient. Does the person mean the entire Bible, every single verse, major concepts, or what? There are certain doctrines within Christianity
that are not debatable (essentials), but there are other ones that are debatable. Romans 14:1-12 tells us that there are debatable issues. So even within the Bible, we are told that there are things that are
debatable. To ask if a particular person's interpretation of the Bible is correct, how is one to answer that considering that the Bible says there are debatable issues?
1. If so, how do you know? A person's interpretation of Scripture is correct only in so far as is consistent with what the Bible says.
2. If not, why do you follow it? Are you saying that Christians will knowingly follow an interpretation of Scripture they believe to be wrong? I hope that is not what you're implying. If so, it is yet
another demonstration that the question has not been properly thought through and/or expressed.
2. Why are there over 30,000 Christian denominations all claiming to be the "true Christians"? Which one should I follow and why? Where is the documentation that demonstrates there are 30,000
denominations? Please define what a denomination is so we might check it against any documentation.
Christian denominations differ on debatable issues but not on the essentials. Let me illustrate. Let's say there are 12 football teams in a division. They have different representative colors and different
strategies. If someone were to ask which one is the "true football team" and which one should people follow, it would demonstrate a lack of understanding of what football really is. It would be a wrong
question to ask. So, the initial question is another demonstration of a lack of understanding of Christian theology in the essentials, in the nonessentials, as well as what constitutes a denomination. In
addition, it does not provide any documentation to demonstrate that there are 30,000 so-called Christian denominations.
3. If God told you to rape your mother, would you do it? This is an illogical question. It is asking to answer based on an impossibility. God would never ask anybody to commit such a sin. It can't happen
and would not happen. Therefore, it is an invalid question and demonstrates a serious lack of understanding of Christian theology . . .
1. If not, then aren't you conceding there are some commandments that qualify disobedience to God? See above
4. Why are modern-day miracles less impressive than those in Biblical times? Which modern-day miracles are you talking about, and by what standard would you judge something to be more or less
impressive? Also, which individual's standards would be the ones by which you would determine what is more impressive or less impressive? Without answering those questions, your question can't be
answered.
5. Do you believe in any miracles that are recorded outside the Bible? Yes.
1. If not, why not? Not applicable.
2. If so, then why should I believe the Biblical miracles? Why would my believing that miracles occur that are not recorded in the Bible bring any doubt upon why I should believe the Bible? This makes no sense.
6. Is predestination true? (original link to carm)-- Yes, per Eph. 1:4-5.
1. If yes, then what type of God will create humans to purposefully torture people in hell? If God, the real God, creates people to go to hell; what is that to you? Does not the sovereign Lord have the right to do with his creation as he sees fit? You may certainly not like it,
but your liking it or not is irrelevant to the reality of its occurrence. You have no standard, as an atheist, by which you can judge that such an action is right or wrong. At best, all you have is your opinion. Still, Prov. 14:6 and Rom. 9:22-23 answer your question.
2. If yes, then do we truly have a say in our Salvation? Predestination teaches that God foreordains whatsoever shall come to pass (Eph. 1:4-11). In the context of Christians, he predestines the elect (those chosen) into salvation. Furthermore, the question also fails to
properly understand the doctrine of total depravity which states that a sinner is enslaved to his sin (Romans 6:14-20) and will only choose sinful things because he cannot perceive spiritual truths (1 Cor. 2:14). Therefore, without predestination, none would go to
heaven. The "say" that we have is that we receive Christ (John 1:13).
3. If yes, then what is the basis of God's foreknowledge? Where does this question come from? What do you mean by foreknowledge? How does it relate your question? I strongly recommend that you explain terms when you introduce them. This will avoid confusion.
7. Is there any amount of evidence that one can give that will cause you to leave Christianity? Yes.
1. If so, what is it? Demonstrate that Christ did not rise from the dead. All that would be necessary is to find an ancient tomb with sufficient archaeological evidence in it to substantiate that it was Jesus of the New Testament who was crucified and failed to rise from the
dead. In such a case, I would give up Christianity.
2. If not, then don't you have blind faith? Blind faith is held by atheists. They cannot demonstrate that God does not exist. In spite of the dilemma of trying to prove a negative, they demonstrate great faith that their assumptions about God's nonexistence (or lack thereof)
properly represent reality.
4 Spiritual Laws
 1) Love 2) Separation 3) Christ is provision 4) Jesus is God
1) God loves you and created you to know him personally
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have
eternal life John 3:16. John 17:3 What prevents us from knowing God personally?
2) All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 The wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23. 2
Thessalonians 1:8,9 Out of the presence of God.
3) God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us – Romans 5:8. Christ
died for our sins, He was buried, He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures – 1 Corinthians 15:3-6.
Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me – John 14:6
4) By grace you have been saved, through faith; and not of yourselves, it is a fit of God, not as a result of works that no
one should boast – Ephesians 2:8-9.
New birth John 3:1-8
Revelation 3:20 I stand at the door and knock…
4 Spiritual Laws - Law 1-2
1. God loves you and created you to know Him personally.
(references contained on this Home Page are linked to the actual verses from the Bible, and should be read in context wherever possible.)
God's Love
"God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
God's Plan
"Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3, NIV). What prevents us from knowing
God personally?
2. Man is sinful and separated from God, so we cannot know Him personally or experience His love.
Man is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his own stubborn self-will,
he chose to go his own independent way and fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive
indifference, is an evidence of what the Bible calls sin.
Man is Separated
"The wages of sin is death" [spiritual separation from God] (Romans 6:23). "...(Those) who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord
Jesus...will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord..." (2 Thessalonians 1:8,9)
Law2
This diagram illustrates that God is holy and man is sinful. A great gulf separates the two. The arrows illustrate that man is continually trying to reach God and
establish the personal relationship with Him through his own efforts, such as a good life, philosophy, or religion - but he inevitably fails. The third principle
explains the only way to bridge this gulf...
4 Spiritual Laws - Law 3
3.Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him alone we can know God personally and experience God's love.
He Died in Our Place
"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
He Rose From the Dead
"Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve.
After that He appeared to more than five hundred..." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).
He is the Only Way to God
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me'" (John 14:6).
law3
This diagram illustrates that God has bridged the gulf that separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our
place to pay the penalty for our sins.
It is not enough just to know these truths...
4 Spiritual Laws – Law 4
4. We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know God personally and experience His love.
We Must Receive Christ
"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12)
We Receive Christ Through Faith
"By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9). When We Receive Christ,
We Experience a New Birth (Read John 3:1-8.)
We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation
[Christ speaking] "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20).
Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive us of our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree
intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith,
as an act of our will.
These two circles represent two kinds of lives:
] self directed life Christ directed life
Which circle best represents your life?
Which circle would you like to have represent your life?
The following explains how you can receive Christ:
You Can Receive Christ Right Now by Faith Through Prayer
(Prayer is talking with God)
God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving me of
my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."
Roman RoadSteps down the Roman Road to Salvation… Read on!
I consider myself a ‘good person’… won’t that be enough?
Romans 3:23 NKJV – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:10 NKJV – As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;
Romans 5:12 NKJV – Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all
men, because all sinned–
The creator of the universe is HOLY. God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1Jn 1:5 (KJV) He has set laws in place for his creation to
obey. What are these laws? They begin with the 10 Commandments. While you might consider yourself ‘good’ compared to most people,
how do you measure up against God’s law? Have you ever told the smallest lie? Then you are a liar. “For whoever keeps the whole law and
yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” James 2:10 (NIV) Disobedience to God is sin.
Is sin really THAT big of a deal? If it is… what HOPE is there?
Romans 6:23 NKJV – For the wages of sin [is] death, but the gift of God [is] eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Disobedience to an infinite eternal God deserves an infinite eternal consequence. God shows us His character and his laws in his creation, the
world around us. He has also written his laws in our hearts… on our conscience. He has also given us his WORD the Bible. No good judge
would let the guilty go free, the criminal go unpunished. Neither can a holy righteous God allow sinful man to go unpunished… but God
LOVES man whom he has made in his image and He has provided a way of escape by sending his only son to die in our place.
After what I’ve done to grieve God… HOW could He willingly die in my place?
Romans 5:8 NKJV – But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jn
3:16-NKJV While he died on the cross, he was mocked, spit upon, and cursed. Yet Jesus cried out, “Father forgive them for they know not
what they do…” (Lk 23:34-KJV) With such love, Jesus died in your place… knowing every evil act, word, and thought you would commit.
What powerful love! He loves you unconditionally even to the point of death when you are at your worst!
Roman Road 2HOW can I be saved?
Romans 10:9-10 NKJV – that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
You can never be saved by trying to be a good person, nor can you be saved through any amount of ‘good works’. Ephesians 2:8,9 says “For by grace have you
been saved by faith. And that, not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works. Lest any man should boast. (KJV) You and I can be saved only by confessing
our sins and placing our faith in God’s son, Jesus Christ who died and paid for our sins on the cross. We must also surrender our life to His lordship… placing
him in charge of every area of our life because we now belong to him. Both John the Baptist and Jesus himself began their preaching with the word, ‘Repent’.
(“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” –Matthew 4:17 NKJV) To repent means ‘change one’s mind’ or to turn — to go in another direction. How can
we be led to repentance? The first step toward repentance is true sorrow for what we’ve done wrong. “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation,
not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” – 2 Corinthians 7:10 NKJV. Worldly sorrow is more like the regret of a criminal who’s just been
caught whereas godly sorrow is the deep remorse or conviction that produces a change in direction. Have you ever felt convicted after doing something wrong?
The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is the one that convicts us of our sin. (John 16:7-8)
Did God HEAR me? Did He accept me?
Romans 10:13 NKJV – For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
God promises that “to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (Jn 1:12 NIV) Yes, God does hear
and accept ALL who come to put their faith in Him. There is no need to fear death any longer because Jesus BROKE the power of sin and death on the cross with
his own shed blood. The price for your sin has been paid in full and it is God’s promise to receive all who come to Him by placing their faith in Jesus Christ as
their Lord and Savior. As a believer, you have a new life in Christ. Jesus did NOT remain in grave. He rose from the dead after three days. (Mark 16) “Therefore if
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
What do I do now?
Romans 10:17 NKJV – So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Your journey as a child of the King of Kings has just begun! You must begin by spending time daily in prayer and in God’s Word, the Bible. You must also find
fellowship with other believers in a Church that teaches and preaches the Bible. You should also now confess Jesus, your savior before men. Share about your
new faith in Christ with your family, coworkers and others whom God has placed on your daily path.
5 Fears of Evangelism
1) Fear of failure- Gospel = Power of God for salvation. “all of who is given to me I lose
nothing” God is glorified in grace or justice. Deal with unbelief.
2) Secret sins- Jesus isn’t a treasure but lust is over alcohol, drugs, money, gossip
3) Factions in the Church – Fighting about irrelevant things
4) Idolatry- Things that mean more than Jesus, could be anything
5) Not intentional in reaching- Do all to glorify God
Gods Sovereignty
Who is the Lord of your life, you or Christ? The blood of Christ = complete atonement. God first loved us
while we were in sin. God is above all things and before all things. He is alpha and the Omega, the beginning
and the end. He is immortal, and He is present everywhere so that everyone can know Him – Revelation 21:6
God created all things- Colossians 1:16
All knowing God – Romans 11:33
All powerful God – Jeremiah 32:17
God is In total control Psalm 103:19
In all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose –
Romans 8:28
God is sovereign Psalm 41: 1-2
And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up
on the last days – John 6:39
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them- John 10:27-30
Apologetics
The precautions of the Romans, 10-30 guards used to guard the tomb where Christ was buried. A 3,000-4,000 pound
stone, and Roman seals where on the tomb of Jesus.
The apostles and many Christians during and after the life of Christ were beaten, burned alive, stoned, crucified and
tortured for not denying who Jesus is and what he did. The same group who ran away from him where he was taken
into custody, at least 10 apostles, later died after seeing Christ resurrected, all were brutally killed and refused to deny
Jesus. Acts 1:3 40 days Jesus appeared to hundreds of people. Secular history confirms it. Josephus a Jewish non-
Christian confirms it in the Jewish antiquities 18.3.3
Thomas Arnold (history of Rome) a non-Christian also confirms Jesus. Frank Morrison, Lee Strobel, Josh McDowell,
famous athiests turned Christina after investigating. The missing body never found despite locking down the city and
searching everywhere. .
Presuppositional Apologetics
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3 All the wisdom and knowledge are
hidden in Christ, unless you start with God. You are suppressing the truth in un-righteousness. God is the necessary pre-
condition to logic. I reason that my reasoning is valid. I sense that my sense is valid. Could you be wrong about
everything you claim to know, then you don’t know anything. They are not Judges. That’s not what the bible says. How
do you get truth without God. Romans 1 – They are without excuse. What is you ultimate standard of truth? What is truth
in your world view? You’re appealing to your own sense to make knowledge claims. Why would the creator of the
universe have to give you evidence?
1 Timothy 2:25 in the hope that God grants the, repentance leading to a knowledge of truth. Repent and have faith in Jesus
Christ The Lord.
Could you be wrong about that? Romans 1 You suppress the truth in unrighteousness. What is truth in your world view?
Is truth fact and corresponding to what is real?
You are employing your reasoning right?
How dod you know your reasoning is valid?
Could you be wrong about everything you claim?
Do you know that? You could be dreaming or in a vat. Unless you start with God you cant know anything. Because in
order to know anything at all you have to know everything. What you don’t know could contradict what you think you
know. You know that God exists. Jesus Christ died to save people choose absurdity because they love their sin. If
someone said I don’t believe in words we would get a dictionary.
Appealing to the conscience (Ray Comfort)
What would make you an atheist? You are looking at a plane, a boing 747 and saying that the maker did a great hob, it then
crashes, now you say nobody made it. To say this world is horrible so no one made is a leap to make.
So nothing created everything?
Genius of God is seen in the Sky, dogs, the eye… We deny God like a thief doesn’t want to see a cop.
Do you think you are a good person? Have you lied, stolen, used Gods name in vain, looked at others with lust?
I am not judging you but by your own omission you have told me you are a lying thief, a blasphemer, and an adulterer, at
heart. If God judges you by these commandments on judgement day are you innocent or guilty? Heaven or hell? Does that
concern you?
Does it concern you that if you die today you would end up in hell? There is nothing you can do to save yourself. 2,000 years
ago God became a man, Jesus of Nazareth. He was bruised for our inequity.
Do you know what God did for guilty sinners? He was paying the fine. We broke the law, Jesus paid the fine. In a court of
law do you know a judge can let you go if someone pays your fines? Jesus said “it is finished”. Think about this, this is
where you are going to spend eternity. Call upon the Lord and you will pass from death to life. Ever have a fight then one
says “I am sorry” then there is reconciliation. If you come to Him and say please forgive me, put trust in Him like a
parachute. If you hear Him know, don’t harden your heart. Would you be embarrassed if I prayed for you?
Apologia Studio
Minimize me, raise you above me Lord. Repent of our indifference to the world, abandon love of self and comfort, prize
you gave all. You are the treasure. Romans 1 “your faith is proclaimed in the whole world” God is sovereign over all. The
book of Christ was and is a perfect atonement. He chooses who to harden and lets them have their way. What would a
vulture go to in a room with meat in one corner and a carrot in the other corner? It is the nature of the flesh to choose sin,
the nature of the vulture to freely choose meat.
The natural person does not accept the things of God. The yare folly to him. The bible says they will call us fools and deny
God in their unrighteousness.
Kent Hovin
The age of the earth is 6,000 years old as of 2019. The bible is the infallible word of God. The bible are the instructions
before leaving this world. Evolution is a religion that you put faith in. You came from a rock, and you pollute the earth.
Less humans means less waste, survival of the fittest.
The rock turned into soup and found someone to marry.
It all started wit ha big bang, what exploded? Nothing exploded and here we are. Laws were in place before the explosion.
Laws conservation of angular momentum. Big bang, center exploded, things went out in every direction. Some planets and
or moons next to each other spin in the opposite direction, how is that possible? Noting has ever changed kind or species.
You teach all thing came from a rock. Charles Darwin used fake dog embryo in pictures. Carbon dating tells how fast

Laws of God are the standard, and they are very thorough. Imagine a chip was in your brain and we all watched your
thought life on a screen. Sharing the law and gospel, repent and trust in Christ. Do you think God exists? Who do you think
God is? Were you raised to believe that? Jesus is the standard of truth, the way the truth and the light. What led you to move
away or change your mind? There is a word, Gospel, what does that mean to you? It means good news, so what is the good
news? You are made, fashioned together by God. We broke his laws, we break his rules, like lying or stealing or lust, being
angry at someone- which is murder. Jesus says he sees the intent in your heart. Whosever looks at a woman with lust,

Because God is Holy and just and righteous, he ahs appointed a day to judge the world in righteousness and we will stand
before Him guilty criminals. God will give the sentence of guilty and we will have to pay the fines for our crimes against
the sovereign of the universe. That is a horrifying thoughts. The gospel is that Jesus Christ is God came to this earth and
took the punishment that you and I deserve by being hung on the cross and killed by men, he was receiving the wrath that
you and I deserve so that our slated could be wiped clean so that we could be completely forgiven. We are condemned
because of our sins, we are forgiven and set free because of Jesus. We are not good, we get to heaved because of Jesus, then
we strive to do good. Grace.

What happens when we die? Great question. What is your name please? Not all religions talk about an afterlife. A
worldview is built on a line of arguments. Because I live you should also be able to live. I will leave no stone un-

born, how He will die. Logic consistency hundreds of years, multiple authors all over watching, predictions
hundreds of years before it happened.

Many Christians are heading to hell. Read the bible yourself don’t just hear others. The most loving thing is to say

Ungodly persons who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Jude 4, Jesus is not Michael the archangel,
Hebrews 2:5. Jesus is “Son of God”. Hebrew 1:5 Watchtower changed the whole bible where Jesus is “in” to
“in union” and “exact representation of God” to “separate entity” (watchtower).
Witnessing to Jehovah's Witness
The basic error of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is what we call a “theology of denial”. Jehovah’s Witnesses basically deny all of the
central doctrines of the Christian faith; most significantly, they deny the Deity of Jesus Christ. Jehovah’s Witnesses wrongly
believe that Jehovah alone is God almighty, Jesus is only a god- a created being (actually the archangel Michael), and the Holy
Spirit is simply an active force. This is a far cry from the true biblical doctrines of the Trinity and the Deity of Jesus Christ.
Now, if you only have five minutes to spend with a Jehovah’s Witness, try walking them through the following passages of
scripture, passages that bear witness to the reality of the Deity of Jesus Christ (You can even use the Jehovah’s Witnesses false
version of the Bible, the New World Translation):
1) Begin by reading with the Jehovah’s Witness from Revelation 1:8.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “Who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
After reading this verse together, ask them the following question, “Who is the Alpha and the Omega?” They will respond by
saying something like, “Well, it says right there, the Alpha and the Omega is the Lord God (or Jehovah God in their
translation).”
2) Next, ask them if they will read another passage of scripture with you, and read from Revelation 22:13.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End”
After reading this verse with them, ask them, “Now, who exactly is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last?” And they
will probably respond by saying something like, “We just saw who the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last is, he is the
Lord God (or Jehovah God in their translation).
Witnessing to Jehovah's Witness
3) Lastly, ask them if they’ll look at one more passage with you, and read with them from Revelation 1:17-18.
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First
and the Last (stop here and ask again, ‘who is the First and the Last?’). I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive
for ever and ever!”
After reading this last passage of Scripture with them, ask the Jehovah’s Witness, “So, when exactly did the Lord God (or
Jehovah God in their translation) die?” And many Jehovah’s Witnesses will just curiously look at that passage, having never
seen this connection before. The Bible is clear in identifying Jesus Christ as the Lord God (or Jehovah God). If you want to
demonstrate this reality even further, read with them from Revelation 22:13 & 16, where the Alpha and the Omega says, “I,
Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches.”
Witnessing to Jehovah's Witness
Answer: As a preface to this answer, please see our article on Mormonism and what Mormons believe. As Christians, we always
want to use the Bible and its timeless truths as our primary tool in witnessing the love of God and salvation through Christ. One
of the problems with trying to witness to Mormons is that they believe that the Bible was hopelessly corrupted through the years
and is no longer reliable. Although we can say with confidence that the Scriptures are most certainly not corrupted—due to the
manuscript evidence in the form of the Dead Sea Scrolls, several codices of the various portions of the biblical text, and
thousands of other manuscripts—Mormons are most likely not going to agree to that. Therefore, approaching Mormons from
another direction is the more effective.
It is important to understand that Mormons use many of the terms that Christians use, such as salvation, justification, heaven,
and others. But their definitions are quite different from the biblical definitions we are familiar with. For instance, Mormons say
they believe in salvation by grace through faith in Christ. But their idea of salvation is inclusive—everyone has been saved by
Christ so that they will live eternally, but it is each person’s works that will determine where they will spend eternity and the
extent of their eternal blessings (Articles of Faith, p. 78–79; Mormon Doctrine, p. 348). Clearly, salvation as the Bible explains
it is not the same as the Mormon idea of salvation. This is why arguing doctrine with a Mormon is rarely successful.
-Mormons believe that the gift of prophecy is still being used through their earthly leader. Whereas, the Jehovah's
witnesses do not believe they are prophets or can prophecy. There is one main unresolved difference between Mormons
and the other Bible based religions.
Mormons LDS
1) Nature of God- “Adam is God” – (LDS Church) human, God, star Kolb, council of Gods, God of planets.
2) God created Adam – Genesis 1:27. God of all eternity – Deuteronomy 32:27. God is spirit – John 4:24, “I am the
only God”- Deuteronomy 6:4, Isiah 43:10.
3) Jesus – Created, brother of satan, polygamous God impregnated Mary through sex – LDS church. Jesus created all
even satan – John 1:1, Colossian 1:4-17. Jesus = eternal God – Isiah 9:6-7. Jesus conceived in flesh – Matthew 19:4-
6.
4) A member's responsibility – Became a God- Polygamy earns this – LDS church. No one can become a God – Isiah
43:10. Have only 1 wife – Deuteronomy 17:!7, Matthew 19:4-6.
5) Salvation: All we can do and Grace, laws, baptism, confess Joseph smith is a prophet - LDS. Bible says “except ye
repent, ye shall all likewise perish”- Luke 13:3-5. Through faith alone by grace alone – Ephesians 2:8-9, John 6:28-

Witnessing to Mormons 2
The key to reaching the heart of Mormons is to understand that, while they may appear confident and self-assured on the
outside, internally many are filled with stress and doubt because they are continually striving for perfection. This is partly driven
by Mormon doctrine and partly by family pressures. Family is extremely important to Mormons, and living up to both family
and church standards is a motivating factor to many Mormons. Deep down inside most Mormons is the fear of not being good
enough, of not measuring up. The question in every Mormon’s mind is “am I worthy enough?” The best thing to do is to
reinforce that doubt. Show them that by their own efforts, they are not even close to being worthy to stand before a holy God.
This is the bad news that has to precede the good news. Show them from the Scriptures that all their “righteous acts are like
filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6), that “no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law” (Romans 3:20), and that “all
have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). If the Mormon will admit to these truths, he/she should be open
for the good news of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, that real righteousness only comes at the cross, where God exchanged our
sin for the righteousness of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). No other righteousness can stand before God on Judgment Day. Once a
Mormon, or anyone else for that matter, admits these truths, he/she is well on the way to understanding true salvation.
While it is important for us to be diligent in our proclamation of truth, it is also important for us to put the results of witnessing
in the hands of our God, who is able to “save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him” (Hebrews 7:25). We
can rest assured that, ultimately, it falls upon the Spirit to sway the hearts of those who are lost and open their eyes to Truth. Our
job is to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do
this with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15), trusting God with the words that we are to say, praying diligently for the souls
of those we witness to, and leaving the results to Him.

Witnessing to a Roman Catholic
Answer: To know best how to witness to Catholics, it is good to know some of the things that make Catholics resistant to the
idea of being “born again.”
Catholics are indoctrinated from an early age, and a barrier to biblical truth is carefully erected in their minds. Catholics are
taught that everything that comes from Rome takes precedence over the Bible. “If the Pope says it, it must be true” is a
cultivated mindset. Unfortunately, Catholics are not taught to think for themselves, and many do not know why they believe
what they do. Many Catholics have no concept of what is written in the Bible, other than the two or three passages that are read
during Mass.
Also, human nature being what it is, any threat to one’s belief system is automatically resisted. Apologetic confrontation tends to
make Catholics defensive and to put up walls. To directly attack the apostasy of Catholic teaching is the wrong way; Catholics
have been told to expect this from “Protestants,” so most of them are prepared for confrontation or simply cut off
communication. Therefore, generally speaking, confronting a Catholic friend with the unbiblical doctrines of his church is self-
defeating. It is usually better to gently point him to Scripture and its authority as God’s Word. Never underestimate the power of
God’s Word to change a person’s heart (Hebrews 4:12).
At this moment can you stand here and say all of your sins are completely forgiven? A rc will say no, they cant and they aren’t
sure anyone can. A born again Christian can say I can know, and I do know, because Jesus paid it all for me.
Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 2
The simplicity of the gospel is what will speak to Catholics the most. That’s the “key” in witnessing to them. In many ways, the
Catholic Church insulates people from God, who can only be approached through priests and saints, and then only with the
proper prayers, penance, and piety. The Bible teaches us “the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3,
NASB). Jesus extends the invitation to all: “Let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life” (Revelation 22:17).
“Whoever has the Son has life” (1 John 5:12). Such simplicity appeals to those laboring under a merit-based system of religious
works.
Reaching the heart of a Catholic is a gradual process. The armor he wears must be chinked, piece by piece, as doubts arise in his
mind about what he has been taught. The idea is to “draw him out” and cause him to ask questions about his own faith.
Catholics have to be “spiritually thirsty” in order to search for valid answers. When their questions arise, we want to be in a
position to answer them from the Bible. It’s easy to simply condemn what someone believes, but that can easily lead to a lost
opportunity for further witness. A Catholic must see the truth for himself.
Of course, it goes without saying that we who witness to Catholics must be in the Word and “prayed up.” We must be
compassionate, not antagonistic, and we must let the Holy Spirit guide us. Our prayer should be along these lines: “Lord, You
know the heart and the motives of this person. Give me the words she needs to hear.”
As an encouragement, here is a testimony from a former Catholic: “I recall what ministered to me was first hearing the Word
several times and then the awesome realization that I could know the Lord personally. For me, all the other Catholic doctrines
that were wrong fell away gradually after I was born again and continued to read the Word.”
Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 3The steady flow of converted Roman Catholics, leaving their old "church" to follow Jesus, shows that Catholics can be reached! But the system of idolatry deceiving them is so clever that one
cannot hope to be an effective witness to Catholics without preparation. Here are some basic suggestions to help you.
Study Romanism
The Apostle Paul was so effective in his ministry of evangelism partly because of his familiarity with the tradition of those to whom he spoke. Romanism is no exception to the rule. You must
know at least the fundamentals of their faith. If you don't know what you are talking about, they will detect it quickly.
Study Catholic theological terms. Can you define: sacrament, sanctifying grace, absolution, mortal sin, purgatory, penance, tradition, indulgence, immaculate conception and infallibility?
Compare you definitions with those given in a Roman catechism.
Roman Catholics might readily agree that we must be saved by grace. But if you know what they mean by the term "grace," you will see that they do not agree at all! Their church teaches that
this grace is stored in a heavenly container and flows into the souls of the faithful through the sacraments of the Roman church. They believe that no salvation is possible, unless dispensed by a
Roman priest!
You could tell the Catholic that you have studied Catholic doctrine, and because of what you have learned, you could never become a Roman Catholic. This may often result in a question
which will open the door to presenting Bible truth.
Be Prepared to Take Time
You will seldom win a Roman Catholic to Christ the first time you talk. He will need time to think about the new things you tell him. At times, he may be angry as he sees that his church has
lied to him. Be prepared to watch and listen, and know when to stop and continue another time.
Establish the Scriptures as Your Foundation
To deal with resistance against the Scriptures, you can quote a Roman Catholic Church Father, St. Jerome, who said: "Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ." Point out to the
Catholic that people often don't really know Christ because they do not read the Bible.
If additional help is needed in this area, by prepared to share !! Timothy 3:15-16. Point out that Timothy knew the Scriptures from his youth, and that all apostolic believers had this kind of
knowledge. Convince him of the importance of knowing the true Gospel (Galatians 1:8-9, II Thess. 1:7-9).
Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 4Destroy Faith in False Gospel
The Catholic can never be persuaded to trust in the Gospel of Scriptures until he first abandons the false gospel of works taught by Rome. YOU MUST MAKE HIM SEE THE
HOPELESSNESS OF SALVATION IN THE CHURCH OF ROME. He will not open his heart to saving faith until you destroy his trust in his priest, his "infallible" pope, and Mary as his
mediator.
Basic Roman Catholic doctrines have been certified by "infallible" popes. Once you prove even one or two of these wrong by Scripture, he will have doubts about whether or not the pope is
right on the rest.
Don't Be Afraid of Controversy
While a contentious spirit is certainly to be avoided, even the apostles often had to use controversy in evangelism, and rejoiced in it (see Acts 13:44-48). Martin Luther certainly caused
controversy with his 95 theses, launching a Reformation that led millions to Christ!
Always remember that controversy must not be allowed to decay into a quarrel, where your goal of helping the Catholic escape from bondage is forgotten.
Teach Him the True Gospel
Once you have cut the Catholic adrift from his former trust in his priest and Romish system, you must make the true Gospel clear to him. Our thanks to Wilson Ewin for the following simple
explanation which could be easily marked in the margins of your Bible:
Show the Catholic your Saviour, Who is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Heb. 13:8)
Show him this Person who not only welcomes sinners but eats with them. (Luke 15:2)
Explain the priesthood of Christ. (Heb. 7:21-28)
Point out the power of Christ to cleanse the believer from all sin. (I John 1:7, 2:2)
Show him that Jesus had trouble with His disciples, for they sent little children away. (Matt.19:13)
Remind him of the same state of affairs in the Roman Church today, where Christ is presented as a cruel and angry judge from whom we must flee to the mercies of Mary, the Lord's mother.
Show him our Lord's open and compelling invitation to come. (See Matt. 11:28; Heb. 4:15-16)
Show him what happens when one comes to Jesus. (John 6:35, 37; Luke 6:47-48; John 10:27-29)
Show him that He can give assurance of salvation. (John 5:24; Rom. 8:1-2; I John 5:10-13)
Show him finally that he must believe and receive this Saviour by personal faith (John 1:12; Acts 16:31). Ask him to accept the Saviour.
Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 5Be Prepared for Objections
Even if he cannot remember everything you say, the Catholic will remember that you answered his objections from Scripture. Here are some Scriptures to help with some common problems
areas.
Authority of Scripture Higher Than Tradition:
Mark 7:5-13, II Timothy 3:15-17
Assurance of Salvation Possible:
Luke 23:43, Philippians 1:20-23
(Paul had confidence)
No More Priesthood:
I Timothy 2:5
The Mass:
Hebrews 9:24-28, Hebrews 10:11, 12, 14, 18
Priestly Celibacy:
I Timothy 3:2-4, I Timothy 4:1, 3
Mary Worship:
I Timothy 2:5, John 14:6, Acts 4:12
Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 6
Roman Catholics have a very distinctive view of Christianity. This lesson explores the best ways to engage and share, with a Catholic, a more Biblical approach to the Christian faith.
Both my mother and father were Catholic, as was every one of my aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. They still are to this day. I've never succeeded in having a Bible study with them. I
know from experience that sharing your faith with a Roman Catholic person is difficult, this is why I'm providing a few insights that I have gleaned over the many years spent evangelizing
Roman Catholic people.
Roman Catholics are the second largest group among those who identify themselves as Christians in the United States of America. Twenty-five percent of those who claim to be Christians in
the United States are Roman Catholic. Twenty-eight percent claim to be Pentecostal and Charismatic, and ten percent Baptist. Two percent of those who claim to be Christian in the United
States are members of the churches of Christ (tied with Mormons, ahead of Jehovah Witness).
When sharing your faith with Roman Catholics here are some things you need to remember and do:
1. Remember that they think that they are the true church and speak for Christianity.
Large numbers / richest
Oldest traceable history
More church buildings and para-church organizations such as hospitals, orphanages, schools, social programs for the poor, etc. than all others combined.
Greatest numbers of clergy and support personnel.
Highest profile and most powerful politically.
They see themselves as the only true church and have the statistics to prove it. Any discussion that begins by attacking this position or a suggestion that the church of Christ is really the true
church (a group that most Catholics have never even heard of) will immediately make you look like a cult in their eyes and they will dismiss you. They'll still make polite conversation but
won't take you seriously.
So don't attack the Roman Catholic church itself. Even if a Catholic person complains or criticizes it, don't you do it. It's like family. A member can criticize it but not an outsider. You might say
that all religious groups have flaws, even your own, but don't join in or begin by tearing down the Roman Catholic church - it's tempting and easy and there is so much to choose from, but don't
do it.
Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 72. Remember that you speak the same words but they have a different meaning for a Catholic.
Catholics are difficult to teach because they use the same language as we do but don't realize that it means something totally different to them. Here are some common "religious" words and
images that these evoke in a Catholic mind compared to the images seen in the mind of a member of the church of Christ:
Baptism: babies, parties, ritual with a priest / Adult believers being immersed in water
Holy: ritual, quiet, special / pure, dedicated to God's service and purpose
Church: place, institution / people, organization
Bible: product of the church / product of God's Holy Spirit
Saved: a relationship with Roman Catholics / a personal relationship with Christ
Jesus: baby, corpse, figure head / Lord, personal Savior
It goes on and on, the same words mean different things to Roman Catholics than they do to us which causes difficulty in having a meaningful and productive conversation. Trying to convert
them using the "5 steps" approach or convincing them that the word baptism doesn't mean what they thought it did may correctly indoctrinate them, but it won't convert them or wean them
away from their Catholic loyalty. So we must remember that similar words have different meanings.
3. Understand the difference between where they are coming from and where you are coming from.
The biggest difference between them and us is the way each is governed.
In the Roman Catholic church the basis of authority is shared by three equally authoritative sources:
The Bible is the basis for much of the Catholic church's teachings and core beliefs. For example, the divinity of Christ, the sinfulness of man and the need for salvation are all teachings that
Catholics take directly from the Scriptures.
The history of the practices of the Roman Catholic church. Many practices are allowed or forbidden based on the tradition of the church. A good example of this is baptism because the Bible
teaches about baptism. Infant baptism, however, is practiced because the tradition of the church has done it this way for over 1,000 years.
The teachings of the Pope. When the Pope issues an "official" teaching or interpretation, then it is binding. For example, the Pope decides what the Bible teaches, where the Bible is silent,
the Pope has authority.
These three sources are the basis for Roman Catholic doctrine, practice, and belief. If there is confusion or uncertainty, the Pope has the final word.
In the church of Christ the base of our authority is the Bible and only the Bible.
Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 8In the church of Christ tradition can be changed, it's only "tradition." For example, in some congregations there is no Sunday evening service for various reasons. This is acceptable because an
evening service is simply a tradition and traditions can be changed or eliminated based on convenience or need of the times. This is more easily done in a group that has no hierarchy of clergy
that rules over the worldwide church and where each congregation is autonomous. For example, each congregation has its own individual structure of leadership:
Evangelists appoint elders where there are none
The congregation selects deacons
The elders ordain evangelists
In congregations where there are already elders in place, new elders are appointed based on their qualification and the approval of the existing leadership
The fact that we say that we're based only on the Bible may seem self-righteous if we don't qualify this with the idea that we use only the Bible as our attempt to practice New Testament
Christianity. We're not perfect, but we believe that what we strive to do is more in line with what the Bible itself teaches concerning how the church should be established, organized, and
function. If you understand the difference and are able to explain the difference without offending them, you've set the stage for the second step in witnessing and teaching Roman Catholics:
getting them to read the Bible.
Reluctance to "Study" the Bible
The primary goal in sharing your faith with a Roman Catholic is to get them to read the Bible for themselves. This is difficult for several reasons:
Roman Catholics think that it is not possible for an ordinary person to understand and handle God's word.
The Pope and clergy do this for them and implicitly suggest that the Bible is too complicated and mysterious and dangerous for an ordinary person to handle by themselves. Their main
argument is that the "Protestants" have tried to handle the Bible and the result has been disagreement and division for 400 years. The answer to that is that even the churches in the New
Testament had division and disagreement, but they were still encouraged to grow in knowledge and unity through an understanding and obedience to the Word (Ephesians 4). Jesus commanded
that we all learn to obey His commands.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
- Matthew 28:18-20
The apostles taught the disciples God's word each day at the temple.
They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
- Acts 2:42
Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 9Here is another reason Catholics don't want to get into the Word:
They equate "Bible" with "cultism"
Many Roman Catholics identify people who use and read the Scriptures as cults. If you only base your church on the Bible, you're like the Jehovah Witnesses or the Mormons or worse. They
see Bible-based living as an aberration or as fanaticism because of the bad press that some cults have received. You have to demonstrate that normal Christian lifestyle is not cultic. We can be
zealous for God without being anti-social or fanatics; after all, Jesus wants us to be lights and salt, not explosions or hot peppers.
Here is another reason why they don't get into the Word:
They're afraid of leaving the "Mother Church"
Catholicism is tied into culture and nurtured from birth. Catholics, even if they are dissatisfied with their religion, are nostalgic about it nevertheless. Reading and studying the Bible is the first
step away from this comfortable religion that may be several generations old within their families. They feel that they are betraying their families by leaving the church and the first step of this
betrayal begins with Bible study. A Roman Catholic who studies the Bible is conspicuous among his Roman Catholic brothers so there is reluctance to take this first step.
Bible Reading with a Roman Catholic
If through careful conversation to explain the differences between Roman Catholics and the church of Christ you manage to create a dialogue with a Catholic person, then you're first invitation
should be to read the Bible with you. If you invite them to a worship service they will usually decline because it is sinful for them to do so. If they accept and go, they are usually very confused
and threatened because our service is very inclusive and confrontational (the invitation, etc.). A better "first" step is to ask them to "read," not "study," the Bible. Study means work; means that
you will be the teacher and they the student; means that they will be at a disadvantage. Catholics rarely "study" religion except in school and feel that non-clergy persons are not qualified to
teach them about religion. If you "read" together it is a shared experience by equals and the questions and answers that come from such activity are a dialogue rather than a teaching/learning
experience.
Relying on the power of the Word is critical when reaching Roman Catholics because they need to experience for themselves the power of God's word and see for themselves how shallow and
incorrect many aspects of their religion are when compared to the Bible.
In the end, the question for the Roman Catholic will become: what will I believe, the teachings of my church about my Christian faith, or the teachings of the Bible about these same matters of
faith? If they are allowed to see the difference and inconsistencies between the Bible and their religion as they read the Word, they will be convicted by the Word and not your power of
persuasion.
And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except
Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
- I Corinthians 2:1-5

Euangelion= Good news =gospel
Got its meaning from a person who would bring the message to a people
after a war to let them know the army won. They would all rejoice. The
people getting the news didnt do anything to win the war, it was work
for them
Like how Jesus alone won the war against sin and death
If we believe and trust He did it for Me, it is the gospel to me
That He did what I could never do, he absorbed the wrath of God for my
sin that I did, hating God, lust of the flesh eyes and pride of life. I have
lied, stolen, lusted.
Jesus paid the guilty sentence for me, He won the war, I heard the good
news and believe the war is over.
Christian is the only person who can say they are going to heaven without being self righteous
Why
In other religions by being good, by earning it.
In Christianity you are not reconciled to God through your virtue and merit, but you are reconciled to God through the virtue and merit of His Son.
Everlasting gospel angel flies over the earth
Fear God, and give Him glory, the hour of His judgement is at hand, worship God the creator who made heaven and earth the sea and the springs of
water.
Fear God as Creator, Worship God as Creator
Repent and believe in the blood sacrifice to cover your sin, Him as atonement for your sin, you can not do it.
The world was made perfect
We cannot keep this perfect law
We do not honor God with our time and attention
Jesus did live a perfect life, obeying all commandments, all laws, and giving God full glory and attention at all times.
Jesus says if you believe He and the Father are one and that Jesus came down to die and be born again, you too can di to your old self and be born
again. A spiritual rebirth accepting the Holy Spirit into you through Faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. You will have a new heart, God will take your heart
of stone and give you a heart of flesh. You will want what is good, reject what is unlawful and through sanctification and purification over time be more
and more like Christ, some faster than others, this is a spiritual rebirth not understood in physical ways. You will detest your sin, you will resist it, you
will fall more and more in love with the Lord Jesus Christ and you will want to share this with others and make disciples. You will eagerly await the
return of Christ and going to be with him, and you will seek the Lord above all else, yourself, family, career, everything. If you cannot do these things,
read the bible about what this means. I will not judge you. You will judge yourself. Your conscious will judge you, the Lord will judge us all.
This life is not for everyone, the Lord thanked the father that He has his these things from the proud and revealed them to little children. Unless we
repent and have faith like these little ones, we will not see the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God the father Jesus Christ and the Holy spirit
as one God with 3 parts just as we humans are body, soul and spirit created us in His image. God made
the world perfect but we wanted it our own way as we still do. We could not fix our sin problem, lying
stealing bearing false witness so God came to earth in the flesh and person of Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a
sinless life, human as we are yet the divide God presence of a sinless sacrifice in our place for sin. God
is just and requires pureness to be in Heaven because He is so Holy. The penalty for sin is death, but the
free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus died, was buried and was resurrected 3
days later in fulfillment of the scriptures. He appeared to the 12 apostles and then to 500 people over 40
days who wrote of their interactions with the resurrected Christ. Christ came to heal, preaching to
repent the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Christ took the full weight of sin on the cross in the shedding
of His blood, satisfying Gods justice and wrath for those who believe this. God commands us to turn
from our sin and believe in Him. Deny yourself and pick up your cross and be his disciple, preaching
the good news of Christ death burial and resurrection, defeating sin and death for those who put their
faith in Him alone. Love Him first and make disciples. Narrow is the gate and few will find it. Many
will call Him Lord Lord and claim they preached and cast out demons in His name, and He will say
depart from Me I never knew you. His sheep hear His voice and listen. His disciples are joyful servants
of Him. Deny yourself and live for Christ. Most would see me as foolish. I will be that for God. I pray
for the opportunity to boldly tell unbelievers and professing believers who do not bear fruit...
You cannot say "No Lord" Either He is your Lord or He is not. Either way it will be as He wills. You
are either on the side of obedience or not. Either know the word and listen. Or say "no" to the word.
Either bear fruit for the kingdom or be cut down by an Almighty God. You can tell a tree by the fruit it
bears, Christ says there are only "good fruit" and "bad fruit". Seed that has fallen in good soil or not.
The seed is the gospel, it will blossom in whom He calls, and bear no fruit in the proud, and those who
live for their own desires. Christ will say to many "depart from me I never knew you". There is no
kinda saved. You can not be partially right with God. Either you have accepted Christ's offer to atone
for you and submitted to Him, dying to yourself, or you have not. You are His sheep or are not. You are
either bought with His blood or not. Going through the wide or narrow gate. You heard His voice and
opened or didn't. You trust in His works or yours. He is enough or He isn't. You know your sin and
repented putting your faith only in Christ, that through faith you are brought to a right relationship with
the Father-through the son- in the Holy Spirit. Or you are living in your sin, distracted by your own
desires, living for yourself. Life is short, eternity is forever, if not for your eternal damnation. For the
knocking at your heart turn from yourself and through yourself at the feet of Christ. Begging for His
grace which He will give you, with a new heart that desires what He wants for you. You will know
Love like never before, you will know The Holy God who created the universe, knows the number of
hairs on your head and wants so deeply to make the most of this life and next for you. To pay for what
you can't afford and to be with you.
Genesis 2:22. Abraham and Isaac. An example of salvation through faith.
And a mirror of the cross.
Isaac Carrie's his own wood to gad mountain.
As did Christ
The father prepares to sacrifice his only son
As the Father did
Isaac is to be sacrificed after 3 days journey
Jesus rose on the third day defeating death
Isaac escaped death though God providing a ram
We escape death through God providing Jesus.
Abraham had faith and told Isaac God would provide the lamb while Isaac
carried his own wood. Abraham was obedient and acted in faith, not
understanding but believing God would provide a way.
Thank you to: Dr. John Barnett (DTBM), Francis Chan,
pastor Greg Laurie, Wrtched radio, Apologia studios,
Ray Comfort (Living Waters), and Kent Hovind
Thank you!! <3 To The Lord Jesus Christ of Nazereth, the true and living God, the
Triune God, who has through His grace died for the sins of those who believe and trust in
Him, who was buried, who was in the tomb for 3 days, and who was raised appeared to
over 500 men and women, and was resurrected, defeating death and sin.

Acts 1 evangelism

  • 1. Acts 1 Acts 1:7-8 English Standard Version (ESV) 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” English Standard Version (ESV) Created in loving affection of the Lord Jesus Christ to glorifying Him, to serve Him, because of faith in what the Lord Jesus Christ did, can do, and will do. Created in credit to many well followed biblical leaders. Most can be found on YouTube. Thank you. -Dr. Spelgatti, PhD, MA, BS, NCC, LPC
  • 2. Mark 16:15 (ESV) 15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. English Standard Version (ESV) Luke 14:23 (ESV) 23 And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled. Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV) 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Footnotes: Mark 16:15-16 (ESV) 15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. English Standard Version (ESV)
  • 3. Love – Unconditional and relentless Believe and trust in Jesus Christ that on the cross Christ shed his blood to save us through grace from love. Grace alone saves Fear of God is the beginning of all knowledge Everyone knows there is a God, they deny God in their un- righteousness Even our Greatest actions are filthy rags in Gods eyes without the white robe of Christ covering up our sins as Gods wrath was satisfied in Christ who gave Himself as a gift to The Father The bible is the only sure authority of truth
  • 4. Questions of Atheists 1) You can't justify moral law outside the bible 2) SURGE 2nd law of thermodynamics. Going down in emery, universe had beginning remnant heat from the beginning, great galaxy seeds galaxy Einstein general relativity, space time and matter had a unified beginning – Hubble expanding universe 1929 3) Free will to except or reject God God will not force you to love Him, God loves you enough to leave you alone and give you up to your own desires. 4) How can we bee free and God sovereign? Recorded football game, know scores still watch it, and players still had will to move. 5) Were you there to see Jesus rise from the dead? 500 eyewitnesses, woman, written, not refuted in those times, cross analogy and dead sea scrolls
  • 5. Questions of Atheists 1. Does God have free will? 1. If you say yes, can He choose to do evil? No, God cannot choose to do evil. God cannot act in a manner that is contradictory to his own nature. His nature is holy, and he is not capable of doing that which is contrary to his own nature, namely, sin and/or evil. However, evil would need to be defined here as well. Within Christianity, evil has at least two different distinctions. There is ontological evil which would be, for example, the person of Satan who is evil by nature. There would also be what's called natural evil which is referenced in Isaiah 45:7. The latter is different than the former because the latter deals with disasters where the former deals with an evil individual whose will and purposes are to do harm without just cause. Furthermore, an atheist would have no objective grounds by which evil could be determined and a standard established. Without a standard, nothing more than opinions can be offered as to what is good or bad, right or wrong, and evil or not evil. For example, though I am free to conceive of many things I might want to accomplish, I'm not always able to accomplish what I desire. I could conceive of the idea of flapping my arms to fly to the moon, but I'm not able to do it. Likewise, I cannot conceive of something that I cannot conceive of. If I cannot conceive of something, I cannot make a free will choice to want it, accept it, reject it, or whatever. So, free will does not mean that a person has the ability to do anything. Instead, it is the ability to make choices within the constraints of our nature and not in a manner that contradicts it. 3. What crime deserves an eternity of punishment? Any crime against an infinitely holy God deserves an eternity of punishment. It is not an issue of any particular crime that deserves an eternal punishment but who the crime is against. Let me illustrate. If a man were to slap another man in the face, the result might be an argument or even a fist fight. However, if that same man were to slap the President of the United States in the face, the result would be quite different. The person would go to jail and face felony charges. So, why does the exact same act get such different results? The answer simple. It is not the act that deserves a higher punishment. Instead, the different result is determined by who it is against. So, if we move up the chain of command to the infinite God of the universe, when we break his law, there is an eternal consequence because of who the crime (sin such as lying, etc.) is against. 4. What does it mean to you when you say that Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are one God? This is not an issue of "what does it mean to me." The question is what is the biblical doctrine of God? The answer is simple. The Bible teaches that there is only one God in all existence (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6, 8; 45:5). Furthermore, the Bible teaches that God is comprised of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit who are each called God, who each have a will, each recognize the existence of others, and even speak to each other. This is not illogical, but it is paradoxical. So, the biblical doctrine of God is known as the Trinity. This is the teaching that there is only one God in all existence who is comprised of the person of the Father, the person of the Son, and the person of the Holy Spirit. For more information see (What is the Trinity?). 5. For Christians who pray to Jesus in hope he will intercede with God, does this make sense if Jesus and God are one and the same? This question reveals a lack of understanding of the doctrine of the Trinity. When we say that Jesus and God are one and the same, clarification is necessary. In Christian theology, there is what is called the ontological Trinity and the economic Trinity. The ontological Trinity states that each member of the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) share the same divine nature. The economic Trinity states that each of them has a different role. For example, the Father elects, the Son redeems, and the Holy Spirit convicts of sin. The Father sent the Son, but the Son did not send the Father. The Holy Spirit is sent, but did not send the Son. So they are the same in their divine nature, but they are not the same in that they are distinct persons and exhibit different roles. So, Jesus the Son is praying to God the Father. Also, Jesus is both divine and human (hypostatic union). As man, he is able to die for people, and as divine in nature, he is able to appease the person of God the Father. 6. If human evils must be allowed so that we can have free will, then why did God also create natural evils? (i.e., floods, disease, etc) This question is insufficient. It begs the question by saying that human evils must be allowed in order to have free will. God, who cannot commit evil, has free will. So the idea that free will necessitates allowing evil demonstrates an insufficient understanding of the concept of free will.
  • 6. Questions of Atheists 2 1. Is your interpretation of the Bible correct? This question is insufficient. Does the person mean the entire Bible, every single verse, major concepts, or what? There are certain doctrines within Christianity that are not debatable (essentials), but there are other ones that are debatable. Romans 14:1-12 tells us that there are debatable issues. So even within the Bible, we are told that there are things that are debatable. If so, it is yet another demonstration that the question has not been properly thought through and/or expressed. 2. Why are there over 30,000 Christian denominations all claiming to be the "true Christians"? Which one should I follow and why? Where is the documentation that demonstrates there are 30,000 denominations? Please define what a denomination is so we might check it against any documentation. Christian denominations differ on debatable issues but not on the essentials. Let me illustrate. Let's say there are 12 football teams in a division. They have different representative colors and different strategies. If someone were to ask which one is the "true football team" and which one should people follow, it would demonstrate a lack of understanding of what football really is. It would be a wrong question to ask. So, the initial question is another demonstration of a lack of understanding of Christian theology in the essentials, in the nonessentials, as well as what constitutes a denomination. In addition, it does not provide any documentation to demonstrate that there are 30,000 so-called Christian denominations. 3. If God told you to rape your mother, would you do it? This is an illogical question. It is asking to answer based on an impossibility. God would never ask anybody to commit such a sin. It can't happen and would not happen. Therefore, it is an invalid question and demonstrates a serious lack of understanding of Christian theology . . . 1. If not, then aren't you conceding there are some commandments that qualify disobedience to God? See above 4. Why are modern-day miracles less impressive than those in Biblical times? Which modern-day miracles are you talking about, and by what standard would you judge something to be more or less impressive? Also, which individual's standards would be the ones by which you would determine what is more impressive or less impressive? Without answering those questions, your question can't be answered. You may certainly not like it, but your liking it or not is irrelevant to the reality of its occurrence. Furthermore, the question also fails to properly understand the doctrine of total depravity which states that a sinner is enslaved to his sin (Romans 6:14-20) and will only choose sinful things because he cannot perceive spiritual truths (1 Cor. 2:14). Therefore, without predestination, none would go to heaven. All that would be necessary is to find an ancient tomb with sufficient archaeological evidence in it to substantiate that it was Jesus of the New Testament who was crucified and failed to rise from the dead. In such a case, I would give up Christianity. 2. If not, then don't you have blind faith? Blind faith is held by atheists. They cannot demonstrate that God does not exist. In spite of the dilemma of trying to prove a negative, they demonstrate great faith that their assumptions about God's nonexistence (or lack thereof) properly represent reality.

  • 8. 4 Spiritual Laws - Law 1-2 1. God loves you and created you to know Him personally. (references contained on this Home Page are linked to the actual verses from the Bible, and should be read in context wherever possible.) God's Love "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). God's Plan "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3, NIV). What prevents us from knowing God personally? 2. Man is sinful and separated from God, so we cannot know Him personally or experience His love. Man is Sinful "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his own stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way and fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is an evidence of what the Bible calls sin. Man is Separated "The wages of sin is death" [spiritual separation from God] (Romans 6:23). "...(Those) who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus...will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord..." (2 Thessalonians 1:8,9) Law2 This diagram illustrates that God is holy and man is sinful. A great gulf separates the two. The arrows illustrate that man is continually trying to reach God and establish the personal relationship with Him through his own efforts, such as a good life, philosophy, or religion - but he inevitably fails. The third principle explains the only way to bridge this gulf...
  • 9. 4 Spiritual Laws - Law 3 3.Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him alone we can know God personally and experience God's love. He Died in Our Place "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). He Rose From the Dead "Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred..." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6). He is the Only Way to God "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me'" (John 14:6). law3 This diagram illustrates that God has bridged the gulf that separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins. It is not enough just to know these truths...
  • 10. 4 Spiritual Laws – Law 4 4. We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know God personally and experience His love. We Must Receive Christ "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12) We Receive Christ Through Faith "By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9). When We Receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth (Read John 3:1-8.) We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation [Christ speaking] "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20). Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive us of our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of our will. These two circles represent two kinds of lives: ] self directed life Christ directed life Which circle best represents your life? Which circle would you like to have represent your life? The following explains how you can receive Christ: You Can Receive Christ Right Now by Faith Through Prayer (Prayer is talking with God) God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer: "Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."
  • 11. Roman RoadSteps down the Roman Road to Salvation… Read on! I consider myself a ‘good person’… won’t that be enough? Romans 3:23 NKJV – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:10 NKJV – As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; Romans 5:12 NKJV – Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned– The creator of the universe is HOLY. God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1Jn 1:5 (KJV) He has set laws in place for his creation to obey. What are these laws? They begin with the 10 Commandments. While you might consider yourself ‘good’ compared to most people, how do you measure up against God’s law? Have you ever told the smallest lie? Then you are a liar. “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” James 2:10 (NIV) Disobedience to God is sin. God shows us His character and his laws in his creation, the world around us. He has also written his laws in our hearts… on our conscience. He has also given us his WORD the Bible. No good judge would let the guilty go free, the criminal go unpunished. Neither can a holy righteous God allow sinful man to go unpunished… but God LOVES man whom he has made in his image and He has provided a way of escape by sending his only son to die in our place. Jn 3:16-NKJV While he died on the cross, he was mocked, spit upon, and cursed. Yet Jesus cried out, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do…” (Lk 23:34-KJV) With such love, Jesus died in your place… knowing every evil act, word, and thought you would commit. What powerful love! He loves you unconditionally even to the point of death when you are at your worst!
  • 12. Roman Road 2HOW can I be saved? Romans 10:9-10 NKJV – that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation You can never be saved by trying to be a good person, nor can you be saved through any amount of ‘good works’. Ephesians 2:8,9 says “For by grace have you been saved by faith. And that, not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works. Lest any man should boast. (KJV) You and I can be saved only by confessing our sins and placing our faith in God’s son, Jesus Christ who died and paid for our sins on the cross. We must also surrender our life to His lordship… placing him in charge of every area of our life because we now belong to him. Both John the Baptist and Jesus himself began their preaching with the word, ‘Repent’. (“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” –Matthew 4:17 NKJV) To repent means ‘change one’s mind’ or to turn — to go in another direction. How can we be led to repentance? The first step toward repentance is true sorrow for what we’ve done wrong. “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” – 2 Corinthians 7:10 NKJV. Worldly sorrow is more like the regret of a criminal who’s just been caught whereas godly sorrow is the deep remorse or conviction that produces a change in direction. Have you ever felt convicted after doing something wrong? The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is the one that convicts us of our sin. (John 16:7-8) Did God HEAR me? Did He accept me? Romans 10:13 NKJV – For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” God promises that “to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (Jn 1:12 NIV) Yes, God does hear and accept ALL who come to put their faith in Him. There is no need to fear death any longer because Jesus BROKE the power of sin and death on the cross with his own shed blood. The price for your sin has been paid in full and it is God’s promise to receive all who come to Him by placing their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. As a believer, you have a new life in Christ. Jesus did NOT remain in grave. He rose from the dead after three days. (Mark 16) “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV What do I do now? Romans 10:17 NKJV – So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Your journey as a child of the King of Kings has just begun! You must begin by spending time daily in prayer and in God’s Word, the Bible. You must also find fellowship with other believers in a Church that teaches and preaches the Bible. You should also now confess Jesus, your savior before men. Share about your new faith in Christ with your family, coworkers and others whom God has placed on your daily path.
  • 13. 5 Fears of Evangelism 1) Fear of failure- Gospel = Power of God for salvation. “all of who is given to me I lose nothing” God is glorified in grace or justice. Deal with unbelief. 2) Secret sins- Jesus isn’t a treasure but lust is over alcohol, drugs, money, gossip 3) Factions in the Church – Fighting about irrelevant things 4) Idolatry- Things that mean more than Jesus, could be anything 5) Not intentional in reaching- Do all to glorify God
  • 14. Gods Sovereignty Who is the Lord of your life, you or Christ? The blood of Christ = complete atonement. God first loved us while we were in sin. God is above all things and before all things. He is alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He is immortal, and He is present everywhere so that everyone can know Him – Revelation 21:6 God created all things- Colossians 1:16 All knowing God – Romans 11:33 All powerful God – Jeremiah 32:17 God is In total control Psalm 103:19 In all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose – Romans 8:28 God is sovereign Psalm 41: 1-2 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last days – John 6:39 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them- John 10:27-30
  • 15. Apologetics The precautions of the Romans, 10-30 guards used to guard the tomb where Christ was buried. A 3,000-4,000 pound stone, and Roman seals where on the tomb of Jesus. The apostles and many Christians during and after the life of Christ were beaten, burned alive, stoned, crucified and tortured for not denying who Jesus is and what he did. The same group who ran away from him where he was taken into custody, at least 10 apostles, later died after seeing Christ resurrected, all were brutally killed and refused to deny Jesus. Acts 1:3 40 days Jesus appeared to hundreds of people. Secular history confirms it. Josephus a Jewish non- Christian confirms it in the Jewish antiquities 18.3.3 Thomas Arnold (history of Rome) a non-Christian also confirms Jesus. Frank Morrison, Lee Strobel, Josh McDowell, famous athiests turned Christina after investigating. The missing body never found despite locking down the city and searching everywhere. .
  • 16. Presuppositional Apologetics Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3 All the wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ, unless you start with God. You are suppressing the truth in un-righteousness. God is the necessary pre- condition to logic. I reason that my reasoning is valid. I sense that my sense is valid. Could you be wrong about everything you claim to know, then you don’t know anything. They are not Judges. That’s not what the bible says. How do you get truth without God. Romans 1 – They are without excuse. What is you ultimate standard of truth? What is truth in your world view? You’re appealing to your own sense to make knowledge claims. Why would the creator of the universe have to give you evidence? 1 Timothy 2:25 in the hope that God grants the, repentance leading to a knowledge of truth. Repent and have faith in Jesus Christ The Lord. Because in order to know anything at all you have to know everything. What you don’t know could contradict what you think you know. You know that God exists. Jesus Christ died to save people choose absurdity because they love their sin. If someone said I don’t believe in words we would get a dictionary.
  • 17. Appealing to the conscience (Ray Comfort) What would make you an atheist? You are looking at a plane, a boing 747 and saying that the maker did a great hob, it then crashes, now you say nobody made it. I am not judging you but by your own omission you have told me you are a lying thief, a blasphemer, and an adulterer, at heart. If God judges you by these commandments on judgement day are you innocent or guilty? Heaven or hell? Does that concern you? Does it concern you that if you die today you would end up in hell? There is nothing you can do to save yourself. 2,000 years ago God became a man, Jesus of Nazareth. He was bruised for our inequity. Do you know what God did for guilty sinners? He was paying the fine. We broke the law, Jesus paid the fine. In a court of law do you know a judge can let you go if someone pays your fines? Jesus said “it is finished”. Think about this, this is where you are going to spend eternity. Call upon the Lord and you will pass from death to life. Ever have a fight then one says “I am sorry” then there is reconciliation. If you come to Him and say please forgive me, put trust in Him like a parachute. If you hear Him know, don’t harden your heart. Would you be embarrassed if I prayed for you?
  • 18. Apologia Studio Minimize me, raise you above me Lord. Repent of our indifference to the world, abandon love of self and comfort, prize you gave all. You are the treasure. Romans 1 “your faith is proclaimed in the whole world” God is sovereign over all. The book of Christ was and is a perfect atonement. He chooses who to harden and lets them have their way. What would a vulture go to in a room with meat in one corner and a carrot in the other corner? It is the nature of the flesh to choose sin, the nature of the vulture to freely choose meat. The natural person does not accept the things of God. The yare folly to him. The bible says they will call us fools and deny God in their unrighteousness.
  • 19. Kent Hovin The age of the earth is 6,000 years old as of 2019. The bible is the infallible word of God. The bible are the instructions before leaving this world. Jesus is the standard of truth, the way the truth and the light. What led you to move away or change your mind? There is a word, Gospel, what does that mean to you? It means good news, so what is the good news? You are made, fashioned together by God. We broke his laws, we break his rules, like lying or stealing or lust, being angry at someone- which is murder. Jesus says he sees the intent in your heart. Whosever looks at a woman with lust, commits adultery with her in his heart. Because God is Holy and just and righteous, he ahs appointed a day to judge the world in righteousness and we will stand before Him guilty criminals. God will give the sentence of guilty and we will have to pay the fines for our crimes against the sovereign of the universe. That is a horrifying thoughts. The gospel is that Jesus Christ is God came to this earth and took the punishment that you and I deserve by being hung on the cross and killed by men, he was receiving the wrath that you and I deserve so that our slated could be wiped clean so that we could be completely forgiven. We are condemned because of our sins, we are forgiven and set free because of Jesus. We are not good, we get to heaved because of Jesus, then we strive to do good. Grace.

  • 25. Witnessing to Jehovah's Witness The basic error of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is what we call a “theology of denial”. Jehovah’s Witnesses basically deny all of the central doctrines of the Christian faith; most significantly, they deny the Deity of Jesus Christ. Jehovah’s Witnesses wrongly believe that Jehovah alone is God almighty, Jesus is only a god- a created being (actually the archangel Michael), and the Holy Spirit is simply an active force. This is a far cry from the true biblical doctrines of the Trinity and the Deity of Jesus Christ. Now, if you only have five minutes to spend with a Jehovah’s Witness, try walking them through the following passages of scripture, passages that bear witness to the reality of the Deity of Jesus Christ (You can even use the Jehovah’s Witnesses false version of the Bible, the New World Translation): 1) Begin by reading with the Jehovah’s Witness from Revelation 1:8. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “Who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” After reading this verse together, ask them the following question, “Who is the Alpha and the Omega?” They will respond by saying something like, “Well, it says right there, the Alpha and the Omega is the Lord God (or Jehovah God in their translation).” 2) Next, ask them if they will read another passage of scripture with you, and read from Revelation 22:13. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” After reading this verse with them, ask them, “Now, who exactly is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last?” And they will probably respond by saying something like, “We just saw who the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last is, he is the Lord God (or Jehovah God in their translation).
  • 26. Witnessing to Jehovah's Witness 3) Lastly, ask them if they’ll look at one more passage with you, and read with them from Revelation 1:17-18. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last (stop here and ask again, ‘who is the First and the Last?’). I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever!” After reading this last passage of Scripture with them, ask the Jehovah’s Witness, “So, when exactly did the Lord God (or Jehovah God in their translation) die?” And many Jehovah’s Witnesses will just curiously look at that passage, having never seen this connection before. The Bible is clear in identifying Jesus Christ as the Lord God (or Jehovah God). If you want to demonstrate this reality even further, read with them from Revelation 22:13 & 16, where the Alpha and the Omega says, “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches.”
  • 27. Witnessing to Jehovah's Witness Answer: As a preface to this answer, please see our article on Mormonism and what Mormons believe. As Christians, we always want to use the Bible and its timeless truths as our primary tool in witnessing the love of God and salvation through Christ. One of the problems with trying to witness to Mormons is that they believe that the Bible was hopelessly corrupted through the years and is no longer reliable. Although we can say with confidence that the Scriptures are most certainly not corrupted—due to the manuscript evidence in the form of the Dead Sea Scrolls, several codices of the various portions of the biblical text, and thousands of other manuscripts—Mormons are most likely not going to agree to that. Therefore, approaching Mormons from another direction is the more effective. It is important to understand that Mormons use many of the terms that Christians use, such as salvation, justification, heaven, and others. But their definitions are quite different from the biblical definitions we are familiar with. For instance, Mormons say they believe in salvation by grace through faith in Christ. But their idea of salvation is inclusive—everyone has been saved by Christ so that they will live eternally, but it is each person’s works that will determine where they will spend eternity and the extent of their eternal blessings (Articles of Faith, p. 78–79; Mormon Doctrine, p. 348). Clearly, salvation as the Bible explains it is not the same as the Mormon idea of salvation. This is why arguing doctrine with a Mormon is rarely successful.
  • 28. -Mormons believe that the gift of prophecy is still being used through their earthly leader. Whereas, the Jehovah's witnesses do not believe they are prophets or can prophecy. There is one main unresolved difference between Mormons and the other Bible based religions. Mormons LDS 1) Nature of God- “Adam is God” – (LDS Church) human, God, star Kolb, council of Gods, God of planets. 2) God created Adam – Genesis 1:27. God of all eternity – Deuteronomy 32:27. God is spirit – John 4:24, “I am the only God”- Deuteronomy 6:4, Isiah 43:10. 3) Jesus – Created, brother of satan, polygamous God impregnated Mary through sex – LDS church. Jesus created all even satan – John 1:1, Colossian 1:4-17. Jesus = eternal God – Isiah 9:6-7. Jesus conceived in flesh – Matthew 19:4- 6. 4) A member's responsibility – Became a God- Polygamy earns this – LDS church. No one can become a God – Isiah 43:10. Have only 1 wife – Deuteronomy 17:!7, Matthew 19:4-6. 5) Salvation: All we can do and Grace, laws, baptism, confess Joseph smith is a prophet - LDS. Bible says “except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish”- Luke 13:3-5. Through faith alone by grace alone – Ephesians 2:8-9, John 6:28- 29, John 6:47, Romans 3:20-31
  • 29. Witnessing to Mormons 2 The key to reaching the heart of Mormons is to understand that, while they may appear confident and self-assured on the outside, internally many are filled with stress and doubt because they are continually striving for perfection. This is partly driven by Mormon doctrine and partly by family pressures. Family is extremely important to Mormons, and living up to both family and church standards is a motivating factor to many Mormons. Deep down inside most Mormons is the fear of not being good enough, of not measuring up. The question in every Mormon’s mind is “am I worthy enough?” The best thing to do is to reinforce that doubt. Show them that by their own efforts, they are not even close to being worthy to stand before a holy God. This is the bad news that has to precede the good news. Show them from the Scriptures that all their “righteous acts are like filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6), that “no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law” (Romans 3:20), and that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). If the Mormon will admit to these truths, he/she should be open for the good news of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, that real righteousness only comes at the cross, where God exchanged our sin for the righteousness of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). No other righteousness can stand before God on Judgment Day. Once a Mormon, or anyone else for that matter, admits these truths, he/she is well on the way to understanding true salvation. While it is important for us to be diligent in our proclamation of truth, it is also important for us to put the results of witnessing in the hands of our God, who is able to “save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him” (Hebrews 7:25). We can rest assured that, ultimately, it falls upon the Spirit to sway the hearts of those who are lost and open their eyes to Truth. Our job is to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15), trusting God with the words that we are to say, praying diligently for the souls of those we witness to, and leaving the results to Him.

  • 31. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic Answer: To know best how to witness to Catholics, it is good to know some of the things that make Catholics resistant to the idea of being “born again.” Catholics are indoctrinated from an early age, and a barrier to biblical truth is carefully erected in their minds. Catholics are taught that everything that comes from Rome takes precedence over the Bible. “If the Pope says it, it must be true” is a cultivated mindset. Unfortunately, Catholics are not taught to think for themselves, and many do not know why they believe what they do. Many Catholics have no concept of what is written in the Bible, other than the two or three passages that are read during Mass. Also, human nature being what it is, any threat to one’s belief system is automatically resisted. Apologetic confrontation tends to make Catholics defensive and to put up walls. To directly attack the apostasy of Catholic teaching is the wrong way; Catholics have been told to expect this from “Protestants,” so most of them are prepared for confrontation or simply cut off communication. Therefore, generally speaking, confronting a Catholic friend with the unbiblical doctrines of his church is self- defeating. It is usually better to gently point him to Scripture and its authority as God’s Word. Never underestimate the power of God’s Word to change a person’s heart (Hebrews 4:12). At this moment can you stand here and say all of your sins are completely forgiven? A rc will say no, they cant and they aren’t sure anyone can. A born again Christian can say I can know, and I do know, because Jesus paid it all for me.
  • 32. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 2 The simplicity of the gospel is what will speak to Catholics the most. That’s the “key” in witnessing to them. In many ways, the Catholic Church insulates people from God, who can only be approached through priests and saints, and then only with the proper prayers, penance, and piety. The Bible teaches us “the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3, NASB). Jesus extends the invitation to all: “Let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life” (Revelation 22:17). “Whoever has the Son has life” (1 John 5:12). Such simplicity appeals to those laboring under a merit-based system of religious works. Reaching the heart of a Catholic is a gradual process. The armor he wears must be chinked, piece by piece, as doubts arise in his mind about what he has been taught. The idea is to “draw him out” and cause him to ask questions about his own faith. Catholics have to be “spiritually thirsty” in order to search for valid answers. When their questions arise, we want to be in a position to answer them from the Bible. It’s easy to simply condemn what someone believes, but that can easily lead to a lost opportunity for further witness. A Catholic must see the truth for himself. Of course, it goes without saying that we who witness to Catholics must be in the Word and “prayed up.” We must be compassionate, not antagonistic, and we must let the Holy Spirit guide us. Our prayer should be along these lines: “Lord, You know the heart and the motives of this person. Give me the words she needs to hear.” As an encouragement, here is a testimony from a former Catholic: “I recall what ministered to me was first hearing the Word several times and then the awesome realization that I could know the Lord personally. For me, all the other Catholic doctrines that were wrong fell away gradually after I was born again and continued to read the Word.”
  • 33. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 3The steady flow of converted Roman Catholics, leaving their old "church" to follow Jesus, shows that Catholics can be reached! But the system of idolatry deceiving them is so clever that one cannot hope to be an effective witness to Catholics without preparation. Here are some basic suggestions to help you. Study Romanism The Apostle Paul was so effective in his ministry of evangelism partly because of his familiarity with the tradition of those to whom he spoke. Romanism is no exception to the rule. You must know at least the fundamentals of their faith. Their church teaches that this grace is stored in a heavenly container and flows into the souls of the faithful through the sacraments of the Roman church. They believe that no salvation is possible, unless dispensed by a Roman priest! You could tell the Catholic that you have studied Catholic doctrine, and because of what you have learned, you could never become a Roman Catholic. This may often result in a question which will open the door to presenting Bible truth. Be Prepared to Take Time You will seldom win a Roman Catholic to Christ the first time you talk. He will need time to think about the new things you tell him. At times, he may be angry as he sees that his church has lied to him. Be prepared to watch and listen, and know when to stop and continue another time. Establish the Scriptures as Your Foundation To deal with resistance against the Scriptures, you can quote a Roman Catholic Church Father, St. Jerome, who said: "Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ." Point out to the Catholic that people often don't really know Christ because they do not read the Bible. If additional help is needed in this area, by prepared to share !! Timothy 3:15-16. Point out that Timothy knew the Scriptures from his youth, and that all apostolic believers had this kind of knowledge. Convince him of the importance of knowing the true Gospel (Galatians 1:8-9, II Thess. 1:7-9).
  • 34. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 4Destroy Faith in False Gospel The Catholic can never be persuaded to trust in the Gospel of Scriptures until he first abandons the false gospel of works taught by Rome. YOU MUST MAKE HIM SEE THE HOPELESSNESS OF SALVATION IN THE CHURCH OF ROME. He will not open his heart to saving faith until you destroy his trust in his priest, his "infallible" pope, and Mary as his mediator. Basic Roman Catholic doctrines have been certified by "infallible" popes. Once you prove even one or two of these wrong by Scripture, he will have doubts about whether or not the pope is right on the rest. Don't Be Afraid of Controversy While a contentious spirit is certainly to be avoided, even the apostles often had to use controversy in evangelism, and rejoiced in it (see Acts 13:44-48). Martin Luther certainly caused controversy with his 95 theses, launching a Reformation that led millions to Christ! Always remember that controversy must not be allowed to decay into a quarrel, where your goal of helping the Catholic escape from bondage is forgotten. Teach Him the True Gospel Once you have cut the Catholic adrift from his former trust in his priest and Romish system, you must make the true Gospel clear to him. Our thanks to Wilson Ewin for the following simple explanation which could be easily marked in the margins of your Bible: Show the Catholic your Saviour, Who is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Heb. 13:8) Show him this Person who not only welcomes sinners but eats with them. (Luke 15:2) Explain the priesthood of Christ. (Heb. 7:21-28) Point out the power of Christ to cleanse the believer from all sin. (I John 1:7, 2:2) Show him that Jesus had trouble with His disciples, for they sent little children away. (Matt.19:13) Remind him of the same state of affairs in the Roman Church today, where Christ is presented as a cruel and angry judge from whom we must flee to the mercies of Mary, the Lord's mother. Show him our Lord's open and compelling invitation to come. (See Matt. 11:28; Heb. 4:15-16) Show him what happens when one comes to Jesus. (John 6:35, 37; Luke 6:47-48; John 10:27-29) Show him that He can give assurance of salvation. (John 5:24; Rom. 8:1-2; I John 5:10-13) Show him finally that he must believe and receive this Saviour by personal faith (John 1:12; Acts 16:31). Ask him to accept the Saviour.
  • 35. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 5Be Prepared for Objections Even if he cannot remember everything you say, the Catholic will remember that you answered his objections from Scripture. Here are some Scriptures to help with some common problems areas. Authority of Scripture Higher Than Tradition: Mark 7:5-13, II Timothy 3:15-17 Assurance of Salvation Possible: Luke 23:43, Philippians 1:20-23 (Paul had confidence) No More Priesthood: I Timothy 2:5 The Mass: Hebrews 9:24-28, Hebrews 10:11, 12, 14, 18 Priestly Celibacy: I Timothy 3:2-4, I Timothy 4:1, 3 Mary Worship: I Timothy 2:5, John 14:6, Acts 4:12
  • 36. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 6 Roman Catholics have a very distinctive view of Christianity. I know from experience that sharing your faith with a Roman Catholic person is difficult, this is why I'm providing a few insights that I have gleaned over the many years spent evangelizing Roman Catholic people. Roman Catholics are the second largest group among those who identify themselves as Christians in the United States of America. Twenty-five percent of those who claim to be Christians in the United States are Roman Catholic. Twenty-eight percent claim to be Pentecostal and Charismatic, and ten percent Baptist. Two percent of those who claim to be Christian in the United States are members of the churches of Christ (tied with Mormons, ahead of Jehovah Witness). When sharing your faith with Roman Catholics here are some things you need to remember and do: 1. Remember that they think that they are the true church and speak for Christianity. Large numbers / richest Oldest traceable history More church buildings and para-church organizations such as hospitals, orphanages, schools, social programs for the poor, etc. than all others combined. Greatest numbers of clergy and support personnel. Highest profile and most powerful politically. They see themselves as the only true church and have the statistics to prove it. Any discussion that begins by attacking this position or a suggestion that the church of Christ is really the true church (a group that most Catholics have never even heard of) will immediately make you look like a cult in their eyes and they will dismiss you. They'll still make polite conversation but won't take you seriously. So don't attack the Roman Catholic church itself. Even if a Catholic person complains or criticizes it, don't you do it. It's like family. A member can criticize it but not an outsider. You might say that all religious groups have flaws, even your own, but don't join in or begin by tearing down the Roman Catholic church - it's tempting and easy and there is so much to choose from, but don't do it.
  • 37. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 72. Remember that you speak the same words but they have a different meaning for a Catholic. Catholics are difficult to teach because they use the same language as we do but don't realize that it means something totally different to them. Here are some common "religious" words and images that these evoke in a Catholic mind compared to the images seen in the mind of a member of the church of Christ: Baptism: babies, parties, ritual with a priest / Adult believers being immersed in water Holy: ritual, quiet, special / pure, dedicated to God's service and purpose Church: place, institution / people, organization Bible: product of the church / product of God's Holy Spirit Saved: a relationship with Roman Catholics / a personal relationship with Christ Jesus: baby, corpse, figure head / Lord, personal Savior It goes on and on, the same words mean different things to Roman Catholics than they do to us which causes difficulty in having a meaningful and productive conversation. Trying to convert them using the "5 steps" approach or convincing them that the word baptism doesn't mean what they thought it did may correctly indoctrinate them, but it won't convert them or wean them away from their Catholic loyalty. So we must remember that similar words have different meanings. 3. Understand the difference between where they are coming from and where you are coming from. The biggest difference between them and us is the way each is governed. In the Roman Catholic church the basis of authority is shared by three equally authoritative sources: The Bible is the basis for much of the Catholic church's teachings and core beliefs. For example, the divinity of Christ, the sinfulness of man and the need for salvation are all teachings that Catholics take directly from the Scriptures. The history of the practices of the Roman Catholic church. Many practices are allowed or forbidden based on the tradition of the church. A good example of this is baptism because the Bible teaches about baptism. Infant baptism, however, is practiced because the tradition of the church has done it this way for over 1,000 years. The teachings of the Pope. When the Pope issues an "official" teaching or interpretation, then it is binding. For example, the Pope decides what the Bible teaches, where the Bible is silent, the Pope has authority. These three sources are the basis for Roman Catholic doctrine, practice, and belief. If there is confusion or uncertainty, the Pope has the final word. In the church of Christ the base of our authority is the Bible and only the Bible.
  • 38. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 8In the church of Christ tradition can be changed, it's only "tradition." For example, in some congregations there is no Sunday evening service for various reasons. This is acceptable because an evening service is simply a tradition and traditions can be changed or eliminated based on convenience or need of the times. This is more easily done in a group that has no hierarchy of clergy that rules over the worldwide church and where each congregation is autonomous. For example, each congregation has its own individual structure of leadership: Evangelists appoint elders where there are none The congregation selects deacons The elders ordain evangelists In congregations where there are already elders in place, new elders are appointed based on their qualification and the approval of the existing leadership The fact that we say that we're based only on the Bible may seem self-righteous if we don't qualify this with the idea that we use only the Bible as our attempt to practice New Testament Christianity. We're not perfect, but we believe that what we strive to do is more in line with what the Bible itself teaches concerning how the church should be established, organized, and function. If you understand the difference and are able to explain the difference without offending them, you've set the stage for the second step in witnessing and teaching Roman Catholics: getting them to read the Bible. Reluctance to "Study" the Bible The primary goal in sharing your faith with a Roman Catholic is to get them to read the Bible for themselves. This is difficult for several reasons: Roman Catholics think that it is not possible for an ordinary person to understand and handle God's word. The Pope and clergy do this for them and implicitly suggest that the Bible is too complicated and mysterious and dangerous for an ordinary person to handle by themselves. Their main argument is that the "Protestants" have tried to handle the Bible and the result has been disagreement and division for 400 years. The answer to that is that even the churches in the New Testament had division and disagreement, but they were still encouraged to grow in knowledge and unity through an understanding and obedience to the Word (Ephesians 4). Jesus commanded that we all learn to obey His commands. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:18-20 The apostles taught the disciples God's word each day at the temple. They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. - Acts 2:42
  • 39. Witnessing to a Roman Catholic 9Here is another reason Catholics don't want to get into the Word: They equate "Bible" with "cultism" Many Roman Catholics identify people who use and read the Scriptures as cults. If you only base your church on the Bible, you're like the Jehovah Witnesses or the Mormons or worse. They see Bible-based living as an aberration or as fanaticism because of the bad press that some cults have received. You have to demonstrate that normal Christian lifestyle is not cultic. We can be zealous for God without being anti-social or fanatics; after all, Jesus wants us to be lights and salt, not explosions or hot peppers. Here is another reason why they don't get into the Word: They're afraid of leaving the "Mother Church" Catholicism is tied into culture and nurtured from birth. Catholics, even if they are dissatisfied with their religion, are nostalgic about it nevertheless. Reading and studying the Bible is the first step away from this comfortable religion that may be several generations old within their families. They feel that they are betraying their families by leaving the church and the first step of this betrayal begins with Bible study. A Roman Catholic who studies the Bible is conspicuous among his Roman Catholic brothers so there is reluctance to take this first step. Bible Reading with a Roman Catholic If through careful conversation to explain the differences between Roman Catholics and the church of Christ you manage to create a dialogue with a Catholic person, then you're first invitation should be to read the Bible with you. If you invite them to a worship service they will usually decline because it is sinful for them to do so. If they accept and go, they are usually very confused and threatened because our service is very inclusive and confrontational (the invitation, etc.). A better "first" step is to ask them to "read," not "study," the Bible. Study means work; means that you will be the teacher and they the student; means that they will be at a disadvantage. Catholics rarely "study" religion except in school and feel that non-clergy persons are not qualified to teach them about religion. If you "read" together it is a shared experience by equals and the questions and answers that come from such activity are a dialogue rather than a teaching/learning experience. Relying on the power of the Word is critical when reaching Roman Catholics because they need to experience for themselves the power of God's word and see for themselves how shallow and incorrect many aspects of their religion are when compared to the Bible. In the end, the question for the Roman Catholic will become: what will I believe, the teachings of my church about my Christian faith, or the teachings of the Bible about these same matters of faith? If they are allowed to see the difference and inconsistencies between the Bible and their religion as they read the Word, they will be convicted by the Word and not your power of persuasion. And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. - I Corinthians 2:1-5

  • 41. Euangelion= Good news =gospel Got its meaning from a person who would bring the message to a people after a war to let them know the army won. They would all rejoice. The people getting the news didnt do anything to win the war, it was work for them Like how Jesus alone won the war against sin and death If we believe and trust He did it for Me, it is the gospel to me That He did what I could never do, he absorbed the wrath of God for my sin that I did, hating God, lust of the flesh eyes and pride of life. I have lied, stolen, lusted. Jesus paid the guilty sentence for me, He won the war, I heard the good news and believe the war is over.
  • 42. Christian is the only person who can say they are going to heaven without being self righteous Why In other religions by being good, by earning it. In Christianity you are not reconciled to God through your virtue and merit, but you are reconciled to God through the virtue and merit of His Son. Everlasting gospel angel flies over the earth Fear God, and give Him glory, the hour of His judgement is at hand, worship God the creator who made heaven and earth the sea and the springs of water. Fear God as Creator, Worship God as Creator Repent and believe in the blood sacrifice to cover your sin, Him as atonement for your sin, you can not do it. The world was made perfect We cannot keep this perfect law We do not honor God with our time and attention Jesus did live a perfect life, obeying all commandments, all laws, and giving God full glory and attention at all times. Jesus says if you believe He and the Father are one and that Jesus came down to die and be born again, you too can di to your old self and be born again. A spiritual rebirth accepting the Holy Spirit into you through Faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. You will have a new heart, God will take your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. You will want what is good, reject what is unlawful and through sanctification and purification over time be more and more like Christ, some faster than others, this is a spiritual rebirth not understood in physical ways. You will detest your sin, you will resist it, you will fall more and more in love with the Lord Jesus Christ and you will want to share this with others and make disciples. You will eagerly await the return of Christ and going to be with him, and you will seek the Lord above all else, yourself, family, career, everything. If you cannot do these things, read the bible about what this means. I will not judge you. You will judge yourself. Your conscious will judge you, the Lord will judge us all. This life is not for everyone, the Lord thanked the father that He has his these things from the proud and revealed them to little children. Unless we repent and have faith like these little ones, we will not see the kingdom of God. The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
  • 43. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God the father Jesus Christ and the Holy spirit as one God with 3 parts just as we humans are body, soul and spirit created us in His image. God made the world perfect but we wanted it our own way as we still do. We could not fix our sin problem, lying stealing bearing false witness so God came to earth in the flesh and person of Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life, human as we are yet the divide God presence of a sinless sacrifice in our place for sin. God is just and requires pureness to be in Heaven because He is so Holy. The penalty for sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus died, was buried and was resurrected 3 days later in fulfillment of the scriptures. He appeared to the 12 apostles and then to 500 people over 40 days who wrote of their interactions with the resurrected Christ. Christ came to heal, preaching to repent the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Christ took the full weight of sin on the cross in the shedding of His blood, satisfying Gods justice and wrath for those who believe this. God commands us to turn from our sin and believe in Him. Deny yourself and pick up your cross and be his disciple, preaching the good news of Christ death burial and resurrection, defeating sin and death for those who put their faith in Him alone. Love Him first and make disciples. Narrow is the gate and few will find it. Many will call Him Lord Lord and claim they preached and cast out demons in His name, and He will say depart from Me I never knew you. His sheep hear His voice and listen. His disciples are joyful servants of Him. Deny yourself and live for Christ. Most would see me as foolish. I will be that for God. I pray for the opportunity to boldly tell unbelievers and professing believers who do not bear fruit...
  • 44. You cannot say "No Lord" Either He is your Lord or He is not. Either way it will be as He wills. You are either on the side of obedience or not. Either know the word and listen. Or say "no" to the word. Either bear fruit for the kingdom or be cut down by an Almighty God. You can tell a tree by the fruit it bears, Christ says there are only "good fruit" and "bad fruit". Seed that has fallen in good soil or not. The seed is the gospel, it will blossom in whom He calls, and bear no fruit in the proud, and those who live for their own desires. Christ will say to many "depart from me I never knew you". There is no kinda saved. You can not be partially right with God. Either you have accepted Christ's offer to atone for you and submitted to Him, dying to yourself, or you have not. You are His sheep or are not. You are either bought with His blood or not. Going through the wide or narrow gate. You heard His voice and opened or didn't. You trust in His works or yours. He is enough or He isn't. You know your sin and repented putting your faith only in Christ, that through faith you are brought to a right relationship with the Father-through the son- in the Holy Spirit. Or you are living in your sin, distracted by your own desires, living for yourself. Life is short, eternity is forever, if not for your eternal damnation. For the knocking at your heart turn from yourself and through yourself at the feet of Christ. Begging for His grace which He will give you, with a new heart that desires what He wants for you. You will know Love like never before, you will know The Holy God who created the universe, knows the number of hairs on your head and wants so deeply to make the most of this life and next for you. To pay for what you can't afford and to be with you.
  • 45. Genesis 2:22. Abraham and Isaac. An example of salvation through faith. And a mirror of the cross. Isaac Carrie's his own wood to gad mountain. As did Christ The father prepares to sacrifice his only son As the Father did Isaac is to be sacrificed after 3 days journey Jesus rose on the third day defeating death Isaac escaped death though God providing a ram We escape death through God providing Jesus. Abraham had faith and told Isaac God would provide the lamb while Isaac carried his own wood. Abraham was obedient and acted in faith, not understanding but believing God would provide a way.
