This document summarizes the Golden Age University in Hrodna, Belarus. The university aims to improve the quality of life for elderly people through intellectual, physical, and social engagement. Over 140 people aged 55+ participate in common meetings, sections, trainings, guest lectures, and other activities. The university develops civil competencies and values among participants. Plans include an international summer school for elderly education programs and an ongoing conference on activating elderly people.

conclusions
- Rise of the demand on the educational programs from the
side of elderlly people.
- The need of systematical preparation of the experts in
education of elderly people (trainers, consultants).
- Unfavourable external environment for the realization of
such programs (legislative limitations, unreadiness of the
authorities for cooperation).
19. Civic aducation for elderly people: conclusions
-Lack of room (premises, equipment) for the organization of
the programs in the field of civil education of elderly
people.
- Only certain programs for elderly people stipulate social
activization of elderly people.
- The opportunity of involvement of the means of elderly
people for realization of such programs.
