It has no weaknesses due to the type combination it shares with Sableye. It is said to have been created when 108 spirits were trapped in an Odd Keystone.

8. #15: Rotom, PDN: 479 (Mow Forme) First Region: Sinnoh Type: Ghost/Electric Abilities: Levitate Highest Stat: Tied Special Attack and Special Defence Lowest Stat: Attack Weak Against: Ghost, Dark Recommended Moves: Leaf Storm (Grass) Discharge (Electric) Will-O-Wisp (Fire, TM Taught) Mud Slap (Ground, Move Tutor DPPt) Note: Rotom has six formes; Normal, Fan (Flying), Frost (Ice), Heat (Fire), Mow (Grass) and Wash (Water). It does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon. In DPPt, the Secret Key event code is needed to change Rotom’s forms in Eterna City.

9. #14: Meganium, PDN: 154 First Region: Jhoto Type: Grass Abilities: Overgrow Highest Stat: Tied Special Attack and Special Defence Lowest Stat: Attack Weak Against: Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug Recommended Moves: Solar Beam (Grass) Body Slam (Normal) Earthquake (Ground, TM Taught) Rock Smash (Fighting, TM Taught) Note: Meganium evolves from Bayleef, which evolved from Chikorita. It is the Grass-type starter for Jhoto Trainers given to the player in Gold, Silver, HeartGold and SoulSilver.

10. #13: Blaziken, PDN: 257 First Region: Hoenn Type: Fire/Fight Abilities: Blaze Highest Stat: Attack Lowest Stat: Tied Special Attack and Special Defence Weak Against: Water, Ground, Flying, Psychic Recommended Moves: Sky Uppercut (Fighting) Brave Bird (Flying, yes it does learn it by levelling up) Blaze Kick (Fire) Stone Edge (Rock, TM Taught) Note: Blaziken evolves from Combusken, which evolves from Torchic, the Hoenn Fire-type starter Pokémon. The white=cream feathers that look like Blaziken’s hair are shorter on females than on males.

11. #12: Samurott, PDN: 503 First Region: Unova Type: Water Abilities: Torrent Highest Stat: Special Attack Lowest Stat: Defence Weak Against: Electric, Grass Recommended Moves: X-Scissor (Bug, TM Taught) Hydro Pump (Water) Air Slash (Flying, Egg Move) Assurance (Dark, TM Taught) Note: Samurott evolves from Dewott, which evolves from Oshawott, the Unova Water-type starter. Samurott has been shown in posters as being able to stand on its hind legs and perform its Razor Shell attack as if wielding a sword.

12. #11: Slaking, PDN: 289 First Region: Hoenn Type: Normal Abilities: Traunt Highest Stat: Attack Lowest Stat: Special Defence Weak Against: Fighting Recommended Moves: Shadow Ball (Ghost, TM Taught) Hammer Arm (Fighting) Faint Attack (Dark) Aerial Ace (Flying, TM Taught) Note: Slaking evolves from Vigoroth, which evolves from Slakoth. Slaking may look like it is lounging, but it is really saving energy for its next strike.

13. #10: Metagross, PDN: 376 First Region: Hoenn Type: Steel/Psychic Abilities: Clear Body Highest Stat: Attack Lowest Stat: Special Defence Weak Against: Fire, Ground Recommended Moves: Zen Headbutt (Psychic) Meteor Mash (Steel) Ice Punch (Ice, HGSS Pt Move Tutor) Shadow Ball (Ghost, TM Taught) Note: Metagross is the evolved form of Metang, which evolves from Beldum. Metagross is said to have the intellect of a super computer, due to it having four brains after Beldum fused with Beldum to evolve the same way Metang bonded with another Metang.

14. #9: Gyarados, PDN: 130 First Region: Kanto Type: Water/Flying Abilities: Intimidate Highest Stat: Attack Lowest Stat: Special Attack Weak Against: Electric, Rock Recommended Moves: Hyper Beam (Normal) Bulldoze (Ground, TM Taught) Dragon Pulse (Dragon, TM Taught) Iron Head (Steel, HGSS Pt Move Tutor) Note: Although useless before it evolves from Magikarp, Gyarados and its signature move Hyper Beam are a force to be reckoned with. It is called the Kanto Version of Hoenn’s Milotic. It’s mouth is never closed.

15. #8: Garchomp, PDN: 445 First Region: Sinnoh Type: Dragon/Ground Abilities: Sand Veil Highest Stat: Attack Lowest Stat: Special Attack Weak Against: Dragon, Ice Recommended Moves: Draco Meteor (Dragon, Move Tutor) Crunch (Dark) Earthquake (Ground, TM Taught) Brick Break (Fighting, TM Taught) Note: Garchomp evolves from Gabite, which evolves from Gible. The males of this species have a slit in the fin on their backs where the females do not. It eats cute Electric types for breakfast. It can fly but can’t learn the actual HM move Fly.

16. #9: Celebi, PDN: 251 First Region: Jhoto Type: Grass/Psychic Abilities: Natural Cure Highest Stat: All Lowest Stat: All Weak Against: Fire, Ice, Ghost, Dark, Bug, Poison, Flying Recommended Moves: Leaf Storm (Grass) Psychic (Psychic, TM Taught) Aerial Ace (Flying, TM Taught) Charge Beam (Electric, TM Taught) Note: Celebi can travel through time. Just for that, it’s my personal number one by a friend argued it down to nine because of its many weaknesses. Other than that, you can use the recommended moves to combat most of those weaknesses.

17. #8: Mew, PDN: 151 First Region: Kanto Type: Psychic Abilities: Synchronise Highest Stat: All Lowest Stat: All Weak Against: Bug, Ghost, Dark Recommended Moves: Aura Sphere (Fighting) Shadow Ball (Ghost, TM Taught) Acrobatics (Flying, TM Taught) Gunk Shot (Poison, HGSS Pt Move Tutor) Note: Mew can learn any TM, HM and Move Tutor moves in each game. It can transform into other Pokémon at will. Yes, Mewtwo is better and is up the list and yes, the pictured Mew is shiny – they’re normally baby pink.

18. #7: Lugia, PDN: 249 First Region: Jhoto Type: Psychic/Flying Abilities: Pressure Highest Stat: Special Defence Lowest Stat: Tied Attack and Special Attack Weak Against: Electric, Ice, Rock, Dark, Ghost Recommended Moves: Aero Blast (Flying) Earthquake (Ground, TM Taught) Shadow Ball (Ghost, TM Taught) Hydro Pump (Water) Note: It is said that when Lugia flaps its wings, there will be storms for forty days and forty nights. A shiny Lugia is pink where a normal one it blue. It is one of the few Pokémon that can learn the 5th Gen move Sky Drop. Some of the pictures of Lugia on Google were just perverted.

19. #6: Palkia, PDN: 484 First Region: Sinnoh Type: Water/Dragon Abilities: Pressure Highest Stat: Special Attack Lowest Stat: Tied Defence and Speed Weak Against: Dragon Recommended Moves: Spacial Rend (Dragon) Aura Sphere (Fighting) Hydro Pump (Water) Earth Power (Ground) Note: Palkia is a being of Space. It is said that space becomes more stable with Palkia’s every breath. Don’t mess with pink Dragons – they will cross space and kill your family if you beat it.

20. #7: Giratina, PDN: 287 (Origin Forme) First Region: Sinnoh Type: Dragon/Ghost Abilities: Levitate Highest Stat: Tied Special Attack and Special Defence Lowest Stat: Speed Weak Against: Ice, Dragon, Ghost, Dark Recommended Moves: Aura Sphere (Fighting) Shadow Force (Ghost) Draco Meteor (Dragon, Move Tutor) Iron Head (Steel, HGSS Pt Move Tutor) Note: Giratina can only be in its Origin Forme when it is holding a Grisious Orb. Although bad for Speed, Special Attack more than makes up for it and the stat isn’t completely decimated by Draco Meteor.

21. #6: Latios, PDN: 381 First Region: Hoenn Type: Dragon/Psychic Abilities: Levitate Highest Stat: Special Attack Lowest Stat: Defence Weak Against: Ice, Dragon, Bug, Dark, Ghost Recommended Moves: Luster Purge (Psychic) Dragon Pulse (Dragon) Thunderbolt (Electric, TM Taught) Shadow Ball (Ghost, TM Taught) Note: Latios is a male-exclusive Pokémon. Latias is its female counterpart. The Latios and Latias in Pokémon Heroes (5th Movie) were brother and sister, most likely from a Latios father and a Latias mother.

22. #5: Ho-Oh, PDN: 250 First Region: Jhoto Type: Fire/Flying Abilities: Pressure Highest Stat: Special Defence Lowest Stat: Tied Speed and Defence Weak Against: Water, Electric, Rock Recommended Moves: Sacred Fire (Fire) Thunder (Electric, TM Taught) Bulldoze (Ground, TM Taught) Extrasensory (Psychic) Note: Ho-Oh is the Pokémon Ash saw in the first episode of the anime series flying over the rainbow. Its feathers are in seven colours, due to its classification as the Rainbow Pokémon. It created Suicune, Raikou and Entei when its tower burned down.

23. #4: Cresselia, PDN: 488 First Region: Sinnoh Type: Psychic Abilities: Levitate Highest Stat: Special Defence Lowest Stat: Attack Weak Against: Bug, Dark, Ghost Recommended Moves: Psychic (Psychic) Shadow Ball (Ghost, TM Taught) Ice Beam (Ice, TM Taught) Signal Beam (Bug, TM Taught) Note: Cresselia can only be female. It’s counterpart is Darkrai, which is genderless. Heatran can be suggested as the male counterpart, despite having nothing to do with dreams but being a male-only Pokémon. Cresselia stops Darkrai’s bad dreams with it’s Lunar Wing.

24. #3: Dialga, PDN: 483 First Region: Sinnoh Type: Steel/Dragon Abilities: Pressure Highest Stat: Special Attack Lowest Stat: Speed Weak Against: Fighting, Ground Recommended Moves: Iron Tail (Steel) Roar of Time (Dragon) Aura Sphere (Fighting) Aerial Ace (Flying, TM Taught) Note: Please do not fight Dialga. If you do somehow beat it, it will go back in time and kill you as an infant. Dialga’s Roar of Time has the power to turn Pokémon into babies. Time flows when Dialga’s heart beats.

25. #2: Mewtwo, PDN: 150 First Region: Kanto Type: Psychic Abilities: Pressure Highest Stat: Special Attack Lowest Stat: Tied Defence and Special Defence Weak Against: Bug, Dark, Ghost Recommended Moves: Psy Strike (Psychic) Shadow Ball (Ghost, TM Taught) Aerial Ace (Flying, TM Taught) Aura Sphere (Fighting) Note: Mewtwo is said to have the most savage heart among Pokémon. It was created on New Island by Team Rocket from stem cells of Mew. It is the main character in the first movie and had his own special episode in which we see him and the clones on a utopian plateau.
