Maxoptra planning screen layout.
There are 3 main sections – the list of unallocated orders on the right, the map on the bottom and the list of vehicles with their timelines in the middle.
To plan manually – simply drag and drop the orders where you want them to be – on the map or on the timeline.
Maxoptra calculates a lot of parameters when you do that – driving times and ETAs for all orders, KPIs and optimal sequence.
If you overload a vehicle, plan to many orders for the driver to meet their driving hours or break any other constraint that is set up – Maxoptra will let you know
Automatic planning is as easy as clicking the auto planning button. Maxoptra will build routes maintaining all constraints that you have set up – order time windows, vehicle capacities and types, driver availability times, driving and duty hours, etc. Within those constraints Maxoptra builds the schedule with the lowest cost.
After the schedule was built you can use allocation suggestions to insert late coming orders into routes without breaking them.
It is easy to print off a driver manifest with your routes if you want to.
You can send manifests to a mobile device. You can use Maxoptra’s own Android application or one of the partnering mobility solutions.
Maxoptra communicates with the driver in real-time, sending new jobs and updates and receiving status updates.
When Maxoptra is integrated with the customer’s tracking system, it knows where the vehicles actually are and have been. Because the routes are built in Maxoptra, it also knows where they should have been – and can compare the two. It allows Maxoptra to know if the drivers are running late or early, predict future ETAs on jobs and give an instant color-coded planned vs actual view of routes being executed.
You can also plot the planned route and the actual route on the map to understand the reasons behind driver deviations.
Maxoptra can keep the customers up to date by sending E-mail and Text alerts to the customers on the expected arrival times.
