“If Purley was a covered Shopping Mall it would have a manager, an investment programme,
marketing budget, ample parking and lettings centrally managed”
Bring some of the advantages of a mall to our High Street (TCM?)

Not approved, but funds ring-fenced on clarifying a few remaining criteria

GLA Feedback asks for aspirations 40% (from 36%) positive response to surveys
A bit ‘picky’ (usually 5-10%!) but appropriate to respond to help justify 2% levy

The Board structure for Purley BID Ltd is critical to the grant application
Governance Committee (Pre-Ballot)
Voluntary Membership reflecting the business mix and key stakeholders e.g. Councillors
Responsible for the strategic, financial & people management of the BID & decisions made
Management Committee (Pre-Ballot)
Led by a BID Manager, a dedicated team, of functional volunteers, and paid service providers
Responsible to the Governance committee
Plan and Deliver the BID ballot and the projects and activities to get there
Post-Ballot, Governance Committee becomes the Board of Directors of “Bid Ltd.”
Management Committee becomes staff and responsible volunteers
Current supporters may be asked to join BID Board or Team - named on application
