OOS (Object Orchestration Services) provides an enterprise middleware to various application of
Bank of America with an efficient means of accessing legacy applications. OOS meets the
enterprise demands to provide one interface to various applications, improve integration of
applications, streamline interface components and provide 24-hour business capability. The
Enterprise middleware is constituted of three hubs HPH (High Performance Hub), EIH (Enterprise
Integration Hub) and CIH (Consumer Integration Hub) and a governing gateway EIB (Enterprise
Integration Bus). HPH and EIH are built on WebMethods Integration server while CIH and EIB are
built on IBM Websphere DataPower XI50 appliances. This Enterprise middleware is a reusable
and strategic corporate asset, readily available to provide the next generation integration
capability required to construct complex business processes. The platform is designed on the
principles of service-oriented architecture to seamlessly integrate applications via services,
across the Enterprise.
Major Activities:
Gathered requirements for design by working with other impacted application teams and
architects.
3. 3
Prepared the high level and low-level design documents by analyzing the business and
technical requirements.
High-level design involved identifying web services based on the business requirement.
Low-level design involved logical mapping and data gap analysis for the message exchanged
between the systems. Application Programming Interfaces (API) specs were created as part
of this design.
Coded to implement the functionality specified as per the design document.
Proposed and implemented a Deprecation framework for Webservices hosted in High
Performance Hub. Coded it completely from scratch using the webMethods native Java
Library. This allows deprecation of close to 100+ webservices without any major impact.
Optimized the central logging infrastructure to enable the logging of both Service Name and
Operation Name in the performance logs.
Proposed and implemented SAS Error Dashboard which helps captures the application
specific errors and displays the same in a very intuitive manner.
Created engineering portal using Java Server Faces which reduces the number of delivery
efforts.
Created DataPower service like MPGW, XML Firewall and all the associated Objects.
Built new domains and configured Application Optimization.
Used SOMA scripts to configure and modify the DataPower object configurations and files.
Implemented Custom XSL coding for complex requirements.
Peer reviewed design documents and code for internal and external quality assurance.
Prepare, execute and review Unit test plans.
Provided test support for component and system integration testing.
Defect fixes and root cause analysis on the defect.
Proposed improvements in system to provide value additions to client requirements.
Postproduction support in the warranty period.
Post implementation certification/verification.
Coordinating between the Onsite and Offshore teams.
Bank of America April 2007 – Mar 2009
Developer, Module Lead
GLIDE application is to process large volume of check images and to enhance the check21 act
ICL (Image Cash Letter) product. GLIDE allows large corporate billers to send BAC (Bank Of
America) an image deposit file instead of a pre-encoded paper cash letter. Three main
components involved in GLIDE, they are ESS, DG and IFG. ESS will receive the ICL file from
customer and validate the check image and data and send an acknowledgement file back to
customer. ESS will send the file to DG for further processing. DG will update Oracle DB with ICL
file details. IFG will extract the deposit file from DB and send to downstream application
