Feed-in Tariffs France

France Solar PV Feed-in Tariffs

• Given the bubble that has formed since November 2009 due to the anticipated publication of
the new tariff, the government has decided that the new Feed-in Tariff will apply to projects
for which the application for purchase of electricity dates from 1 November 2009, and for which
there has not been a complete application for connection to the grid before 11 January 2010.

• These new rates will remain unchanged until 2012.


Singapore Energy Efficiency Grants (1 of 2)

Singapore Grant for Energy Efficiency
Technology

• Grant Type: Installation Projects
• Amount: 50% of qualifying costs capped at £2m
• Geographic Focus: Singapore
• Deadline: Ongoing

• The Grant for Energy Efficient Technologies (GREET) is aimed at encouraging owners
and operators of industrial facilities to invest in energy efficient equipment or
technologies.

• Funding of up to 50% of the qualifying costs, capped at $2 million per project. Only
projects with a payback* of more than 3 years and up to 7 years, would be considered for
funding.


Singapore Energy Efficient Grants (2 of 2)

Singapore Incentive for Energy Efficient
Equipment and Technology

• Grant Type: Tax Relief
• Amount: Capital expenditures written off in 1 year

• This tax incentive scheme is provided under the Income Tax Act. The objective of the scheme
is to encourage companies to replace old, energy-consuming equipment with more
energy efficient ones and to invest in energy-saving equipment. Inefficient equipment
not only incur high operating costs as they consume more energy but also have a negative
impact on the environment as a result of higher emission of pollutants to the environment.


Singapore Energy Training Grants

Singapore Certified Energy Training Grant

• Grant Type: Other
• Amount: Full 144-hour professional training

• The SCEM Training Grant is a co-funding scheme administered by NEA to develop local
expertise and capability in professional energy management. The scheme is targeted
at engineers who manage manufacturing facilities and buildings and provide energy services
or engineering consulting services.


Singapore Environment Awards

Singapore EcoFriend Awards

• Grant Type: Prize / Award
• Amount: Recognition
• Deadline: 26th March 2010 (Annual)

• There are many environmentally-proactive people in Singapore who have made
contributions to the environment, each in their own ways.

• As such, the National Environment Agency has initiated the EcoFriend Awards to
recognise their efforts and achievements, as well as encourage them to continue and expand
their efforts in caring for the environment.

Wales Sustainable Farming Awards

Simple Solutions Farm Awards

• Grant Type: Prize / Award
• Amount: £1,200 support services
• Geographic Focus: Wales

• Environment Agency Wales and Farming Connect, the Welsh Assembly Government’s
support service for farmers, have joined forces to recognise and reward farmers who make
small scale changes to their farms to improve profits and benefit the local environment.

• The winner will receive professional advice (to the value of £1,000) from a Farming Connect
approved consultant along with £1,250 from Environment Agency Wales to carry out
further environmental improvements on the farm


Climate Change Grants
