57. Sir always treated IDC as his favorite child and
we witnessed his dedication to raise IDC to the level of
a premium design institute.
He always used his influence to make IDC more visible
on the world map.
I have had many opportunities to interact with him
since my IDC days, till recent meeting at Welingkars.
I used to share my professional achievements with him, time to time.
His appreciation for my Design Store initiative, a post-retirement venture,
was quite encouraging and motivating.
Honestly, I owe my professional success to Sir.

64. Two things stand out about Prof. Nadkarni’s work.
The first is that his voice is both ‘completely Indian and completely
contemporary.’ A d that is an exceptional b l i trick.

There are plenty of designers who produce contemporary stuff, but
they end up looking ‘Scandinavian’ or whatever.
