1. LESSON 2: CONDITIONS THAT MAKE A QUADRILATERAL
A PARALLELOGRAM
KINDS OF QUADRILATERAL:
Trapezoid: A quadrilateral with only one pair of opposite sides are
parallel.
Isosceles: A trapezoid in which the non-parallel sides are congruent.
Parallelogram: A quadrilateral in which two parts of opposite sides
are parallel.
Rhombus: A parallelogram with four congruent sides.
Rectangle: A parallelogram with four congruent angles.
Square: A parallelogram with four congruent angles and four
congruent sides.
Kite: A quadrilateral in which two consecutives sides are congruent.

2. DEFINITION OF TERMS:
Parallel: Two lines that do not intersect or meet each other at any
point in a plane.
Congruent: Identical in size and shape.
Bisect: To cut or divide into two equal parts:
Supplementary: The sum of two angles is 1800
Parallelogram: A quadrilateral with both pairs of opposite sides are
parallel.
Perpendicular: 900
