Sourceplicity Software Development Plan
For many years now Sourceplicity offers co‐sourced development services for software companies
at attractive prices. Sourceplicity’s co‐sourced model offers a good alternative to lower software
development costs but at the same time shorten development time and expand the development
team with experienced and professional developers.
Starting Spring 2010, Sourceplicity offers a new and unique model in developing software for start‐
up companies: The Sourceplicity Software Development Plan.
What is it?
The Sourceplicity Software Development Program is a financial incentive program that allows
software start‐up companies to develop software at cost price for a pre‐defined project or certain
period. This means that eligible companies can develop their software products better and faster
with a short time‐to‐market period at a low cost using Sourceplicity’s software development centre
in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Why do we offer this?
Sourceplicity wants to stimulate innovative companies in the most difficult phase of their existence,
to support them with highly qualified resources to develop software and become successful in their
target markets. Therefore Sourceplicity is prepared to invest in those companies by providing
development services at cost price and share in the future success of these companies.
How does it work?
Once a start‐up company participates in the program, we jointly define the size and scope of the
development. This can be product readiness, development time or any other logical criteria.
The uniqueness in the co‐sourcing model is that the customer will decide jointly with Sourceplicity
which Sourceplicity resources will be assigned to the project. Next to providing the resources,
Sourceplicity co‐manages the resources together with the customer and supports the customer in
the development process. Result is that the development team in Kaunas becomes an integrated
part of the development team in house at the customer. Of course Sourceplicity can do more and
provide project management, advice on methodologies, quality standards, use of technologies, etc.
It’s the customer’s choice.
After the pre‐determined period, the company either pays Sourceplicity the difference between the
pre‐agreed commercial price or the outstanding amount will convert into shares of the company
based on pre‐defined conversion rate.
Who are we?
Sourceplicity is a division of Uniplicity B.V., a Dutch software company, founded in 2005 that
develops software for for customers as well as for its own purposes with a highly qualified
development team in Kaunas, Lithuania. Sourceplicity works in close cooperation with the Technical
University in Kaunas.
Technologies, we use
Sourceplicity offers experienced, University qualified developers with knowledge and experience
inprogramming in Java/J2EE, .NET, PHP, Flex, and other languages like VB, C#, ASP etc. with wide
use of XML technologies like XSD‐XML, XSL, XSL‐FO, XBRL with clear multilayer architecture ‐ AJAX,

JSON or WSDL communication and MVC, Spring, Struts, Zend and other frameworks; as well as
application development for mobile platforms using Windows Mobile (Windows CE), Java ME
(J2ME), iPhone, Google Android, Symbian, Blackberry, BREW. Other technologies: Wi‐Fi, WiMAX,
GPS, GSM, WAP, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 4G, Bluetooth, ODP, OTA.
What we do for other customers
Projects we started the last couple of years:
Real Estate Software Application: an extensive, rich application allowing real estate companies to
manage their portfolio from a financial perspective.
Natural Language Search engine: Sourceplicity participated in the development of a search engine
based on ‘natural language technology’
On‐Line Auction System: Sourceplicity develops and maintains an online auction system including a
detailled catalogue system, financial functions and online print facilities, all based on one single
source.
Amongst others, Sourceplicity is involved in,: a software application that facilitates collaboration in
the supply chain for the agro industry, an application offering digital coaching journeys, a large
online catalogue and community for collectioners in 12 different languages with personal collections
registration, network, auction and sales functions, a network virtualization for application access in
large organizations.
Lithuania
Since 2004 Lithuania, 3.5 million inhabitants, is part of the European Community. Vilnius the capital
is around 1.600 km east of Amsterdam, a two hours flight, comparable with a flight from
Amsterdam to Barcelona. As of May 1st Ryanair operates a direct flight from Weeze to Kaunas,
Hotels and restaurants are comparable and at Western European level. Currency is the Litas. On
political and economical level, Lithiuania is a stable country unlike its neighboring countries. The
mentality is positive and the country has a strong drive to develop itself, even in recession times, as
the most successful Baltic state and to develop itself further.
