• Specialty: In Islamic laws and medicine

• Loved reading, studying and composing literary
works
• His philosophy of life:
- Live moderately without worry of clothing,
property or the future
- Show kindness to all even your enemies
- Be humble especially to the poor but show
concern for your own some dignity and self-
worth

5. • He is disliked by the Ruler because of his
firmness
• He end up to live a life of misery in exile
because his enemies made strong allegations
against him
• The first Islamic philosopher who gained
followers amongst the Muslims, Christians and
Jews.

philosophy , medicine and Islamic legislation.
– His works had been translated into Latin and Hebrew
– still used as a textbooks in several western universities
– An important reference materials for researchers
• Example : Danter (great Italian poet) mentioned Ibnu Rush in his
famous work (Divine Comedy).
