GENERAL ELECTRIC
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Established GE Transportation Global Signaling and Telecom Business.
Key Achievements:
Implemented the biggest signaling and communication up gradation order for microprocessor based
interlocking and centralized traffic control for one of the largest steel plants in India worth $4 million.
Process involved getting qualified in RFQ (Request for Quotation) stage followed by proposal
generation for RFP (Request for Proposal), technical clarifications and demonstrations.
Achieved approval for and implemented GE Electronics interlocking for Indian Railways at Research
Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) worth $30 million. This involved giving technical
clarification to customer, providing safety validation results and analysis and installing a demonstration
unit on a railroad and commissioned.
Had a key role in initiating communication based train control solution (CBTC) for the Indian railways.
Led sales effort for the entire western region of India and grew business over 20% annually.
Provided technical support for installed products in US, Japan and China.
Led and contributed to GE teams spread throughout the world including China, Australia and US.
