Author Biography
Master degree in Petroleum Technology from 1978, University of
Trondheim.
Worked 10 years for Mobil Exploration Norway with drilling, completion and
production technology, onshore and offshore on the Statfjord field.
From 1988 to present employed in Statoil. Seven years in subsurface R&D,
of which 4 years heading the Statoil R&D subsurface portfolio.
Thirteen years in Operations heading Petroleum Technology units for the
Heidrun, Kristin and Åsgard fields. Six 6 years in field development,
heading Petroleum Technology in the Kristin HPHT field and presently for 3
years heading the Aasta Hansteen field development project in the deep
water Norwegian Sea.
